How does the saying go? Never work with children or animals… well I have worked with both and I can’t say I have had an issue.
Even the most well trained pets will have a mind of their own and do their own thing but that brings a bit of fun to the day.

Let’s talk unplugged ceremonies.

We live in an age where just about everyone has a phone or other digital device and phones take us out of the moment.

There is nothing more special than watching two become one and being present in that moment is all the couple really asks.

Your guest photographers might be compromising your hired photographer's pictures. If your guests are using flash on their cameras, that could very well completely ruin the exposure or composure your photographer is trying to achieve, and there’s not much to do to fix it unfortunately.

Here's an example of what you can have your officiant say:
“Tina & Ian have asked that their ceremony be unplugged, please make sure all your phones are turned off and your present in this moment. They have hired a photographer to capture the moment so you can truly be in it with them! They would love to look back at these images and see your smiling faces.”

I will start with mine. I first met my husband Ian when we were both working at Burswood Casino in Perth when I was in security and he was running the bar, the first time we met was when I escorted him to the cashier from the bar, after this he made me a cocktail at the bar. Some people go to the casino and loose everything in their pockets, I left the casino that night richer than I did when I walked in. ♥️

Did you know ....

The certificate you and your partner sign at your ceremony is only a ceremonial marriage certificate given to you by your registered celebrant!

This document cannot be used as proof of your marriage - but it looks beautiful in a frame on your wall 🥰

Being legally married is a little more involved than you might think!

Prior to your wedding date (no later then 30 days prior to be exact) a lodgement to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages must be registered by your celebrant, officiant or priest - aka me!

I will ask you & your partner for valid ID that has all your current details such as name, address, passport, birth certificate etc.

From here i will lodge the Intent to Marry form to the Government no later than one month prior to your wedding date.

Once lodged and sent with love by me, you will need to go and lodge online yourself. You should then receive your official marriage certificate in 5-10 business days!

That my loves is when you can officially be known as Mr or Mrs, change your name if your wanting to and move and get started on the list of updating your bank details, passport etc!)
