I may be The Cocktail Queen but I’m a serious lover of Champagne. And obviously having champagne towers as part of our brand portfolio I have tasted plenty of Champagne, sparkling wine and Prosecco to add also.

Today my ‘hot golfing hubby’ and I are dining out at The Grand Hotel on the Goldie. Currently I’m up here as we are opening our new franchise head office up here (more on that later), and I’m so thrilled to find a place serving great Australian Sparkling vintage Brut - one of my favourite bubbly’s.

I love supporting Australian made wines, beers,bevs and mixes and over the next few weeks as we journey on my life as The Cocktail Queen I’ll be showcasing the best of the best in bevies that Australia has to offer.

And if you’re wondering what that drink is in the background that’s a LONG toblerone cocktail that hot golfing hubby is having with his lasagna… we will find out later how the stomach reacts to that 😂😂😂

Cocktail Queen started in Adelaide, essentially from my bedroom at my parents place in Fairview Park. I was working at the local pub The Tea Tree Gully Hotel whilst going through university, and this is where the idea popped into my head!

One day a lady walked into the bar (very cliche I know) and made a statement saying she would love a cocktail party for her hens but cocktails were too expensive. I thought about that statement and being a bartender at the time I knew to make cocktails actually didn’t cost that much - especially the 90’s! So that was it the moment I decided to create a mobile cocktail bar business so girls can have great cocktails at their hens party’s!

The original name was The Cocktail Queen Catering Company, and back then I went about getting my business cards made and using Dads PO Box in St Agnes to get my mail and the cheque deposits sent to… I wanted to look professional… no website address just the PO Box. I even had an add running in the classifieds in the newspaper!

Things were moving and next it was to get some professional pics done of my cocktails … no phones with cameras, so I engaged the services of my good friend who had just set up her new photography business to take some pics… back then we were pretty impressed by the results 😂😂 I think we drank more cocktails then we photographed that day!

Allow me to introduce myself, because I don’t think I’ve ever officially have! My name is Nicole Treffers and I am the proud founder and owner of The Cocktail Queen Mobile Bar in Australia. I’m not one to put my face forward that much in my socials and that is largely due to lack of self confidence in the online social sphere. I’m great on the phone, great in person, but online videos of me are something that I need to master. Watching my teen daughter happily snap pictures of herself and talk into the phone about her makeup routine (like a professional too), got me thinking that it’s time Nicole… It’s time to “Be the Brand”.

So over the next few weeks I will be taking you all on a journey of what it takes to be The Cocktail Queen and how The Cocktail Queen has evolved, in events, with staff, trends and more. I will be giving you an insight into my personal journey also that has greatly defined my business and yes I will be also showcasing a range of cocktail videos. It's time to step out of the comfort zone and into the media sphere!

45ml Bacardi Rum
30ml Fresh Cream
15ml Coconut Syrup
60ml Pineapple Juice
Dash of sugar syrup

Not coconut cream, not coconut rum … gotta be Bacardi!

Back to back mocktails mixology masterclasses showcasing the range of syrups by SodaStream and the amazing mocktails you can make including the Lipton Peach Iced Tonic Tea, that can easily be converted to a cocktail also.

Tall glass muddle 3 raspberry’s and 10pm a sugar syrup
Add scoop of ice
Add 15mls of Soda Press Co organic Tonic Mix
Add 20mls of Lipton Peach Syrup
(Add 30mls Gin here if making into a cocktail)
Top with your Soda Stream Sparkling 💧 water
