DeMan's Workshop So I began making training weapons out of Aluminium & Polyurethane sheeting, this now has become an integral part of DeMan Props.

I am a mixed media Artist making items, props, replicas, and unique items for cosplayers, theatre, collectors and anyone who wants a custom costume or hand crafted item. I first began making at a young age, I remember building swords out of scrap wood found lying around the garden as well as Archery bows made from bamboo found on the side of our local creek. l build is a feeling I still feel to this day when I complete or work on a project and has been a drive for me ever since. Over the years I began creating and making costumes and props for friends and for myself, utilizing materials like home made paper mache’ out of flour and water. Making Knight’s Armour out of cardboard, paper mache’ and paint from the Helm & Armour to the Sword & it’s scabbard, I have always loved creating things from scratch and over the years as I changed the mediums I used from cardboard to leather, wood and metal and as a result my projects became more elaborate and likewise the feeling a job well done increased as well. One of the hidden treasures for me in regards to creating props and weapons for Cosplayers and collectors was the implementation of training weapons into the mix. I have been training in martial arts since I was 5 years old and as I changed styles over the years I have become familiar with different training weapons and a need for quality weapons used for training that are not as dangerous as current steel training weapons. Recently I began working in EVA foam & PVC and have found it almost as versatile as all of the previous mediums put together. Coupled with my 3D modelling skills learned from my Diploma in Interactive gaming I am able to 3D model custom pieces and print them using my 3D printer to truly create one of a kind designs for my customers. So I decided to begin making costumes and props with more dedication than just a passing hobby and this is where DeMan Props came into being, it is still a new venture in it’s infancy but that is the best part as you will be able to watch and interact and grow with me on my journey.

Took a break from all my current projects to take my special someone out for Date Night.

Was a great evening with many a laugh. Remember to stop and enjoy the little things once and a while. Recharge those batteries so you can keep shining as bright as you all do!

I was asked the other day about how I modify the print files to allow vision through the solid lens/eye pieces that come with certain models I print, so I thought I would share a snippet of my process to help you all understand how some things are done. (Pic #1 is the end result!)

I begin with the original mesh I want to modify, I then create the type geometry I want to use, in this case it is hexagons, I scale the first one to the size I wish to use/test then I extrude an offest to create the spacing I desire.

I then cut the shape of the lense with the edge tool ( I use Maya) delete the unnecessary topology/polygons and extrude them through the base model, once this is achieved I use a boolean modifier of subtract to create the perforations, weld all vertices and Viola' Usable Lens/eye model.

For all you Guyver fans out there, I will be selling both Raw and painted prints of Guyver Unit 3 (both version will come with light up control metal but no sounds, yet!).

Just waiting on the model to drop from , go check out his patreon to see what else he offers! Johan is an awesome 3D modeller with a passion for quality works (not a paid endorsement hahaha just personal opinion being a 3D modeller as well)

Let me know if you want a G3 and I will add you to the waiting list, prices will be similar to the G1 unit but will solidify the price after the first print.

It was the 18th Birthday of my eldest Youngling, so I thought I would make her something very special and that would last longer than a standard Birthday card!

So I designed and printed this forever card, on the back of it we each wrote a small note expressing our love for them on this day of days.

My youngest Youngling wanted to make the Eldest a plushy so we sat down, patterned, cut, sewed and stuffed to create "Alfred the Avacado!". I'm quite pleased with how he turned out for a spare of the moment build.

Will share more of my current projects over the coming days, also keep an eye out as some of them will be available for sale both in Raw form and finished

Sorry it has been so long since my last post, I have been making behind the scenes and I had forgotten to post any of it. Life happened along the way and I had to put the workshop on hold as well.

But I'm BACK BABY! and to kick it all off I wanted to share with you some of y latest works over the next couple of days beginning with Guyver 1, the model is from (big Thanks!) to which I have modified the control metal/medal for light functionality!

What do you all think? Is the color nice and what colour would you like to see?
