🧪 SOUTH WEST SCIENCE FAIR 🧪

Join us at the South West Science Fair 2024, a free family-friendly community event filled with science-themed fun!

South West Science Fair brings multiple exhibitors together at Bunbury Public Libraries on Saturday 17 August with a variety of interactive and hands-on science-themed activities, fun and learning.

This year’s theme focuses on the two opposing elements of 'Day and Night' featuring two separate events, day and night. Both are equally fun and equally as entertaining!

Exhibitors will engage visitors between 9am and 1pm with an array of exciting and mind-blowing hands-on STEM activities and demonstrations.

The upper and lower levels of the library come alive with a wide variety of science-themed activities, demonstrations and hands-on experiments with at least one science, technology, engineering or maths element including activities focusing on this year's theme.

The day event is free and open to all ages and abilities. Tickets are not required.

Come and go as you please and participate in as many or as little science-related activities between 9am to 1pm.

The night event kicks off at 5pm through to 8pm and encompasses a science glow-in-the-dark disco party where everything and everyone will be glowing!

Special guests include popular science wizards and children’s entertainers, Supersonic Science; presenting a never-seen-before special event alongside DJ Emma and specialist UV glow body and face painters.

The Supersonic Science team will blow your mind with a variety of glow experiments and science fun (the details are a surprise) whilst you dance and glow to the beats with DJ Emma.

Tickets are essential and spaces are limited.

🌕🔭🧬 SOUTH WEST SCIENCE FAIR IS BACK ⚗️🧪☀️
Mark Saturday 17 August in your calendars because the South West Science Week is back. Join us for an exciting and educational experience exploring the fascination of day, and the mystery of night at this year’s theme Day and Night!

Held at the Bunbury Public Library on Saturday 17 August 2024, SWSF promises a two-part event full of fascinating activities, demonstrations, music and fun!

🌞 Exhibitors' Day Event: 9am to 1pm
Explore the wonders of science with engaging exhibitions, activities and demonstrations and ignite your curiosity for the world around us.

Activities and Exhibitors are to be announced sooner to the day. This session is free and does not require registration to attend.

🌑 Glow Disco Party: 5pm – 8pm
The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. Dance the night away at the science-themed disco with tunes by DJ Emma, fluorescent body painting and some seriously spectacular demonstrations from the popular Supersonic Science.

Disco numbers are limited, tickets are required for this event. Tickets are $5 per person, all attendees require a ticket. Tickets are on sale now.

🤩 YOUTH WOOLA BOOLA 🤩

In celebration of Youth Week the City of Bunbury will be hosting an awesome event for the young people in our community!

Youth Woola Boola is a free to attend all ages event taking place during the school holidays at Koolambidi Woola - Bunbury's youth precinct.

There will be a DJ dance party, DJ workshops, barbecue, slushies and ice cream truck to enjoy as well as information stalls, yoga, basketball and skateboarding.

We will also have a chill out zone and much more!

The City has teamed up with Bunbury Youth / by YAC, Anglicare WA and Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia for this event.

Weddings are about family; the old, the new, the ones we may have lost and the ones still to come. It’s very, very humbling (and pretty addictive) to be around all that dopamine and love (yep and great/terrible fashion).
