Ahh, the end of another wonderful season. 🌟

I'm filled with gratitude for all the beautiful couples I've had the honor to unite this season. Each ceremony was a unique celebration of love, and I'm thrilled to have been part of your special moments.

This season has taken me all over Melbourne, to regional Victoria, down to Wilson's Prom and up to Brisbane. ✈️

Here's to more unforgettable weddings and everlasting memories! 💍✨

Black Tie 🐧
The most classic of looks for David and Louise's Wedding in Melbourne last year. I think back often to this day in particular. There was detailed planning involved to capture a sophisticated, old-world overall feel to the day. But this was softened by humour, warmth and a very inclusive collection of friends and family truly there to love and support.
The day was captured by Ollie who is one of the most talented artist-photographers I have had the pleasure of working with. His photographs blended the charm of a bygone era with a papparazzi-esque edge. Each example could be framed and hung in a gallery telling its unique story of the subject. This photo, shot whilst I MC'd the reception transports me back to the evening where the Jazz piano formed a twinkling backdrop. I remember taking a beat after this, feeling like I was in a movie! It was just a dream - and here it is in picture form.

Postcard Perfect 🏖️
The weather was perfect for Emmanuel & Charles' big day back in November. The beautiful turquoise water and the white sand of Barwon Heads made for the most beautiful backdrop in front of which to tie the knot.
If planning a beach wedding, something to consider is the wind factor. Where we had the lightest of zephyrs for this wedding in November, depending on the location, different times of year or even seasons can see the weather whip up. It's good to visit your venue at the time of year you plan to marry or look up typical weather to see what you could be in for.

A slightly shorter cut at the barber and an extra pass of hairspray can go a long way to keeping everything in place!

I think couples underestimate how important they are to when it comes to creating a vibe! Happy couples create an infectious energy which all your guests will feed off. As this awesome snap from shows so perfectly, there were some wonderful laughs throughout Tara and Connor's ceremony at Luna Events Space in January - all their guests were sharing in the joy and smiling from ear to ear!
Special mention ought to be made as to how sharp Connor looked on his big day. The awesome crew down at Nathan Gamble] gave him a fade that you could set your watch to! I've never had any complaints about mine either 😘 Thanks gang!

Different Ceremony Setup 🎤
It was very interesting to work in this non-traditional ceremony space at . There were two tiered rows running the length of the old church making sure everyone had a great view. Moses and Kaarin made further use of the area by doing their first dance whilst everyone was still in their seats....And wasn't that something to behold!
I loved being involved with your wedding(s), Kaarimo - we pulled the trigger on the eve of our first lockdown in Melbourne before having this fun, uninhibited ceremony nearly 3 years later! I'll never forget it 🤍❤️ thank you for having me!

Welcome to the Jungle 🌿🌿
It was so good to up there with Richard and Sarah to celebrate their surprise wedding in November. Surprise weddings need to be carefully planned so that guests don't catch wind of the plan afoot! Starting off as an engagement party, we revealed the true nature of the event to a wonderful reaction. Mission accomplished!

It's about time to wrap up another year 🎉🥂
2021 sure had its share of frustrations and uncertainties - I sense we may still have to deal with them in some form going forward, but hopefully we are through the worst of it!
A massive thank you to all the amazing couples who supported the industry and pushed through, finding creative ways to do their Big Days justice!
Here's to a wonderful 2022!

One of the benefits of having a front row seat at marriage ceremonies is seeing the reactions as couples say their vows to one another ❤️💍

They're my favourite part of the ceremony because couples can really dive deep into the emotions of what has driven them to marry.

As a celebrant, I love to lend a hand in crafting wedding vows. Sometimes you know what you want to say, but it's difficult to express it clearly. I'm happy to lend my experience in this area and help form wedding vows that capture your imagination and do the occasion justice!
