On the momentous occasion of the Fremantle Blessing of the Fleet's 70 Anniversary of the beloved Madonna di Capo d’Orlando, the Western Australian community will grace the streets of Fremantle in a heartfelt tribute to the enduring spirit of our fishermen—departing with hope and returning with gratitude for a safe and abundant catch. Join us the Blessing of the Fleet Procession on Sunday October 27 as we honour tradition, community, and the blessings of the sea.

Sunday 27 October 2024 from 2.30pm - 3.00pm at the roundabout in front of the WA Shipwrecks Museum, Bathers Beach.

In honour of this special event, please join us as two of Western Australia's finest singers present two songs in honour of the Madonnas.

Monique Fitzgerald will perform "The Prayer" as the Madonnas make their way up to the roundabout at the WA Shipwrecks Museum and Fiona Cooper Smyth will perform the "Ave Maria" as the changeover begins, in beautiful renditions that will be poignant and unforgettable.

At the roundabout on Marine Terrace in front of the WA Shipwrecks Museum, join us in a stunning tribute to the Madonna dei Martiri and the Madonna di Capo d'Orlando as they arrive to the harbour for the final leg of the procession which will culminate in the Blessing of the Fleet.

Please ensure you are at the roundabout by 2.30pm to welcome the Madonnas in what will be a beautiful moment in the procession, one to remember for all time.
We look forward to our Western Australian community coming together for this most unique event.
