Mike's business career started over 40 years ago when he launched an innovative short distance furniture removal business. He bootstrapped MiniMovers from an initial investment of $200 and a Ute, to an annual turnover of $30 million with over 450 employees servicing all the major cities in Australia.
Mike flipped MiniMovers 2 years ago. Today he’s an investor with interests in 6 other businesses in 3 Countries.
Mike is a Life Member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). He has been on various Government committees including a Small Business Advisory Panel to the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia and a term as a Commissioner on the Australian FairPay Commission, charged with the responsibility of setting the minimum pay for all employees in Australia.
His business MiniMovers was the recipient of many Employer of the Year awards as well as 2003 Telstra Small Business of the year.
His education has been the School of hard knocks and a 3 year Entrepreneurs Masters Program at MIT in Boston USA.
Mike walks the talk - he's practical and outside the box. No apologies are made for challenging the way business is done.
