This was completed by children at the Veteran’s Services Expo (part of Veterans’s Health Week) on Saturday the 12th of October.

Each year, RSL Queensland lead a Draw to Remember initiative with local schools.

School students receive educational talks on Remembrance Day, then participate in an interactive activity where they connect with the importance of Remembrance Day in a creative way.

Pictured here are photos of some of the chalk drawings created by the students of The Willows State School after their visit by local Townsville RSL Volunteer Veteran, Jason and his assistance dog, Bowser.

The Townsville RSL Sub Branch has opened applications for 2025 Bursaries.

Two (2) x $600 Bursaries will be awarded based on Queensland 2024 Year 10 results.

Applicants must be children or grandchildren of Returned & Services League of Australia (Queensland Branch) Townsville Sub Branch Inc. Financial Service Members.

The Bursaries will be awarded to the applicants on merit, as decided by the Board of the Townsville RSL Sub Branch Inc.

Application forms are available by emailing Pauline McGuire at [email protected]

Applications close Friday 6th December 2024 at 5:00pm. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
