Just imagine you’re at an engagement party and the speeches start when the MC announces a Celebrant is on his way to the venue room to conduct a marriage ceremony for Kate and David. The look of surprise from the guests was all around the room. Just what the bride and groom wished for. It was a pleasure planning this wedding surprise with Kate and Dave. Thanks to the staff at the Smoked Garage for helping with the surprise. Congratulations to you both!

On 17 February 2024, it was a great honour to conduct the wedding ceremony for my godson to marry the girl of his dreams in Clovelly NSW. Nathan and Louisa’s wedding was at a picturesque spot at the Bowling Club with sweeping views of the coast and Bondi Beach. It was great to experience a very personal wedding anf to meet her family from the UK! Congratulations Nathan and Louisa ceremony

It’s not often you have the chance to conduct a ceremony for your best mates nephew and fiancé. A family we have known for over 30 years. “Brad was great. He was very understanding and accommodated all the additional wishes we had for our wedding. He made our ceremony very personal which we don’t think we could’ve gotten from other celebrants. In the lead-up to the wedding he was very responsive and we felt that everything was organised and explained to us well in advance. On the wedding day he arrived early to make sure everything was set up and helped coordinate with our other vendors to make sure it ran smoothly. We will be recommending Brad as a celebrant”.

When it comes to beach weddings, you really don't know what the weather elements will bring on the day. Nick and Rachel celebrated their marriage in front of family and friends as far reaching as the UK and NZ. It was one of the windest days I have experienced but picture perfect in so many ways. Wedding ceremonies can happen in many different ways. On 11 March 2023, I had the honour and privilege to conduct a wedding ceremony for my wife’s cousin and the extremely talented bride. The ceremony was just the couple, the two witnesses (as well as the family pets) and myself around a dining room table with glasses at the ready and a very intimate ceremony. The couple chose this format as they have lots of families and friends and to be honest not all could fit around the dining room table 😁 More celebrations to come. It was also the brides birthday so what a big day all round. Congratulations to Gavin and Joni. May your life together with each day bring you extreme happiness and fulfilment.

In almost 10 years as a Celebrant, this was the first opportunity to conduct a wedding ceremony at the Tattersalls Club Brisbane. I would like to thank Terry and Ana for this opportunity and congratulate this beautiful couple. 4 beautiful bridesmaids and 4 dashing groomsmen played their important part with this wedding. Bilynda and Cam chose a beautiful park overlooking a canal at Noosaville and a favourite holiday spot to say “I do” in front of family and close friends. Covid lockdowns and in different states had challenged their relationship but it made it even stronger. Congratulations to you both!

As we approach the end of 2021, I have left one of my couples pictures of their wedding until now. Why? Because for me as a Celebrant it is a job that brings such happiness to all. I went to conference once and they suggested we change our title from celebrant to Chief Joy Coordinator and that’s what I felt on this day. Emma and Ivar had it all and summarised what a difficult year it has been for couples to marry. Changing of dates due to covid lockdowns, close family and friends from overseas who couldn’t make it, a new family member and of course Barney the Cavoodle arrived (I wanted to take him home). On the wedding day, what a sense of family was felt by all who attended. It was a beautiful, happy and family occasion and I am so blessed to have been part of it. As we close out 2021, lets look back at the great things that have come across our paths of life! And no dwell on the challenging and sad times of 2021. Happy New Year to everyone and only good thoughts for the Emma and Ivar. I look forward to making more memorable moments in 2021 Celebrant Services
