We are so grateful to work with such wonderful couples.
I always say this never falls short on me the opportunity to play a part in such an important chapter in your lives, but when you work with couples who feel so aligned, like Brittany and Sean do, it honestly fills our cups… even if the rain moves in and you move their ceremony into the garden a during a break in the weather to ‘get the shot’

Planning blind spots:

Contracts, briefs, bookings… sometimes it’s tricky to know exactly what is included and the potential restrictions in styling setups and booking vendors.

Having been around the block once or twice, we have a knack for knowing what to pick up on, what to consider when booking vendors and details for your wedding.

So when we work with both our Planning and Styling couples, we’re able to catch the blindspots and bring a solution to the table instead of leaving things to assumption, not effectively communicating and then having to scramble on the wedding day to fix a loop hole. We don’t want that.

So here are some examples of the blind spots we’ve picked up for our clients recently and got their planning back on track asap.

▪️Marquee booked independently and floor plan was supplied, but wasn’t to scale therefore missing tables/ chairs which meant an extension was required, and furniture invoiced didn’t match the floor plan. We looked over their booking, liaised with their supplier got this sorted asap for them.

▪️Draping installation booked howeverthe venue has low ceilings and restrictions with blocking ceiling sprinklers etc. A safe and custom solution was instead proposed.

▪️Hair and Makeup booked, however the timeline didn’t allow enough time for everyone based on access times for the preparation location. We jumped in and revamped their timeline, negotiated earlier access on behalf of the couple and their day ran seamlessly.

Our proposals may seem like you’re booking linen, flowers and a design aesthetic. But you’re actually booking so much more.

▫️13 years of bringing solutions to the table that make your day flow beautifully AND look incredible.
▫️13 years of weather planning -half of which in marquees.
▫️13 years of timeline and logistics planning so your day flows and your vendors can arrive and get straight to work doing what you’ve booked them for.

A great Planner & Stylist on your side means so much more than making things look pretty and saving time and stress.
That is just the baseline.

Circa 2019 our very first wedding at where bushfires were upon our doorstep shutting down highways and blocking shipments, vendors and international guests between Melbourne and Gippsland but we made it and it was such an incredible day for Luci and James.

I still feel so privileged to have worked alongside some incredible vendors to bring their day together. And to have their story featured in at the time was the icing on top.

We are ready for a jam-packed Spring!

But before our busy season kicks off I wanted to welcome you here and reintroduce myself.

Hello! I’m Lauren. Founder and creative director at Etc. Events.

My passion for weddings began almost 15 years ago when my world was opened up to the idea of creating an experience that made you feel like you’re in another world but also never felt more at home.

And so I launched Etc. with one goal in mind; to help couples plan a seamless and stress-free day that Feels as good as it Looks, too.

I am a strong believer that wedding planning is to be enjoyed, not endured, and my team and I are here to show you that spreadsheets aren’t scary, nor does a well-planned day have to compromise on style or fun.

I personally design, plan and coordinate each of our weddings over the past 12 years to ensure that very promise is kept (and exceeded).

Regional VIC pulls on all my heart strings.
I grew up in Melbourne, moved to Gippsland over 20 years ago and have relocated back and forth for my career in Visual Merchandising, Floristry and Business ever since. But there’s something about the country -it’s hospitality and stunning views that feel like home to me and I love nothing more than sharing in that with the couples and families I work with when creating their ultimate celebrations.

Together with my extended team, our approach towards weddings is creating designs that feel like a piece of artwork for couples who cherish the sentimental things in life with a focus on having fun along the way, too.
