Temporary closure update

Hi my lovely flower lovers!

I'll be taking a bit more time away than I originally planned but rest assured, I'll let you know as soon as I'm able to confirm my return date.

Today's blooms featuring Flowering Gum, Lisianthus, Mini Delphinium, Roses and Alstroemeria.

Care tips

Flowering gum is one of my favourites but unfortunately she's quite a messy little thing (hmm... me too) and will drop her "petals" (technically their Stamens but whatever) all over the place. Be sure to put your arrangement somewhere easy to clean and keep the dustpan handy.

I've heard a rumour that spritzing them with hairspray stops the need a little...I've not tried it myself but if you're keen to give it a go let me know how it goes!

Can you believe it's only 5 days to Christmas?

I will be taking a little extra time off this year over the Summer holidays to enjoy a break with my family. I'll be doing my last deliveries for year THIS FRIDAY - so if you'd like a beautiful bunch of flowers for your Christmas table - be sure to get your orders in by 3pm tomorrow.

Subscription customers - I'll be sending you an email in the next 24 hours confirming your upcoming deliveries, but just let me know if you're also away and need your deliveries paused or moved.

Today's wild bunch features Delphinium, Echinacea, Paper Daisy, Alstroemeria, Statice and a flower that my wholesaler had labelled Rats Tail (🤪🐀) which I believe to be a type of Honey Myrtle....I dunno, I just liked it 🤣

Fridays Sunflowers are big drinkers so be sure to check on your water levels today and give them a refresh. I was a bit naughty and let mine go a bit too dry so I've given them some extra attention today to see if I can bring my Snapdragons & Cosmos back to life 🤞 steps are: -pinch off any lower florets that are looking shriveled from the Snapdragons -snip off and Cosmo flowers that are spent... remember the side buds often open later so even if there's no open flowers left on the stem it can be worth keeping it. -snip all the stems and pop the Cosmo's and Snapdragons into a water bath (completely submerged in fresh cool tap water) for about 5-10 minutes. -give the stems of all the other flowers a good snip and rearrange into a freshly filled vase -after the 10 minutes, arrange your Snapdragon and Cosmos back in. They'll be very droopy and water logged so try to put them in so they're supported by the other blooms. We'll see if I managed to catch mine in time to save them tomorrow!
