After over 13 years and more than 100 weddings, I performed my final wedding yesterday at this beautiful place at the top of Mount Buffalo.
A huge thank you to all the couples who've trusted me to be a part of their big day, to the many venues who've been so helpful, notably Dee and Fergus at Cammeray Waters and Vanessa and Nadine at Tindarra, the photograghers and videographers who've worked around me, with a special thanks to local photographer, John Mitchell who kindly helped me to set up my social media accounts, and my children who've helped to maintain them, and undo the mistakes I've made! And a huge note of appreciation to the wonderful Louise Pike who set up my website which made me look so professional!
Finally, thanks to my family and friends who encouraged me to become a celebrant, gave me lots of love and emotional and technical support, and then recommended me to others!!
My first wedding was my niece, Naomi, and my finaĺ one yesterday was the niece of a good friend. I've married other family members and the children of long-time family friends and had such an amazing time doing it all!
While I'm a little sad, I feel the time is right to move to the next stage of life. And as you can see from the photo below, I truly finished on a high!
