Hello beautiful people! I’d like to invite you to join me on my other page Beautifully Wyld with Shekinah Leigh as I will be closing down this page soon.

I will be doing even more weddings and ceremonies over the coming years, however it feels important for all my work to come under the same umbrella. This allows for more efficiency at my end, and more clarity for ALL my clients. I am looking forward to creating such a beautiful balance of weddings, retreats, events and specialty treatments for both individuals and couples for many years to come.

We will also be launching our new tiny home micro wedding and event venue on February 10th 2024 as well 🤗

Love this! Sometimes us self-employed peeps forget that we are allowed to have safe working conditions too! In all weather. And of course a good celebrant is always endeavoring to create as much comfort as possible for guests, especially when they are waiting in the heat and there are elderly involved. Help us make your day special in all the RIGHT ways. And brides, I know sometimes it’s tricky to be ready on time, but during summer it can be potentially fatal to keep your guests waiting for extended periods of time! So making sure there is shade, water and minimal exposure to the elements are all beautiful ways to make your guests feel like they are a valuable part of your day 💕

🦺 WHS (Wedding Health & Safety) 🦺​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Temperatures are set to soar this weekend in many parts of the country, so this is your reminder that even as a celebrant, you have not just a right, but an *obligation* to a safe workplace.

According to the website:
"In Australia, businesses have the primary duty of care for WHS.
If you’re a person conducting the business or undertaking (PCBU), you must ensure workers’ and others’ health and safety.
That includes if you are a sole trader, self-employed, a partner or you lead a company or organisation. "

Here are some things you might consider to ensure your safety, and the safety of the couple, wedding party and guests in high temperatures:

☀️ Move the ceremony indoors with adequate air conditioning and/or ventilation
☀️ Move the ceremony to the shade
☀️ Keep the guests and wedding party in the shade until just before the ceremony starts
☀️ Shorten the length of the ceremony so guests aren't outside too long
☀️ Insist cold water is readily available to everyone before, after & during the ceremony
☀️ Wear PPE (eg wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
☀️ Suggest the wedding party remove excess outerwear (eg groomsmen can take off jackets and vests, or have the bride remove her veil)
☀️ Keep some ice packs in your kit

Heat-related illnesses are serious, even fatal! No one wants to deal with fainting guests or worse, so don't be afraid to demand safe conditions for you and everyone at the wedding.

ABS marriage stats for 2022 - the most popular date was (drum roll please)!

22/10/22 with over 2200 weddings performed on that day. I had my own beautiful couple to add to the numbers.

Pulling down the old sweat lodge to make way for the new! There’s a LOT of work that goes on behind the scenes to create the sacred container for these ceremonies. So much alchemy, so much time, some much conscious intention. And then there’s everything we do on the day as well 😅 but that’s a part of the magic and potency, it’s not just slapped together in a few minutes, each ceremony is built upon the last, each one infuses the land with its energy, each participant weaves their sacred medicine into the energy field. And every time is different, but better and deeper and more transformational!

Who’s joining us for this first sweat in the new lodge on Sunday? We’d love to have your divine presence as we anchor in this new container.

It’s been a LONG time coming! So many postponed weddings, then we got gale force winds and rain, then the reception cancelled on the morning of 😅 so much stress but there was no way these two were not getting married on Friday!

Thanks to BMD Northcliffe Surf Club for taking a last minute ceremony/reception booking!

The most gorgeous Spring Equinox wedding at a private property in Northern NSW. Stunning day, all the love, hand fasting ceremony (my fave) and just spectacular, but intimate and connected and very very sweet!

Some pics have finally landed! This ceremony at one of my FAVOURITE venues, was GORGEOUS, the couple were BEAUTIFUL, it was fun and emotional and had all the things, including doggies in the bridal party! Still waiting on doggie pics 😍

Had the honour of officiating a dear friends wedding yesterday. Beautiful farm vibes…It was a bit off the beaten track but the day was a stunner! Almost collected a Roo on the way home but Peters evasive driving meant we only clipped its tail - phew! They truly seem to have a death wish!
