Planning is underway for the Mental Health Safety Net Kicking Goals for Mental Health event on Friday 12 September.

It's going to be a wonderful event watching footy finals on the big screen while enjoying the incredible food by Moreish Catering at the gorgeous venue Peninsula Lounge.

Pop it in your diary and booking details will be released soon!

The race for the 2025 AFL Premiership is wide open and worthy of extensive discussion and analysis among footy fans.
And even better if the chat is shared over a delicious meal and a drink as we go Kicking Goals for Mental Health.
Mick Simmons from local charity Mental Health Safety Net invites you to the Peninsula Lounge (2/2 Torca Tce, Mornington) on Friday, September 12 from 6.30pm for a packed evening of activities.
Only a limited number of tickets are available at $99 each. That price includes a two-course gourmet meal, beer, wine, and access to the venue’s big screen to watch the footy, golf simulator, and pool table.
You’ll also hear from Mick about his work with Mental Health Safety Net.
Save the date while we finalise the details, and we expect to announce a special guest in the coming days!

Mick's got the BBQ fired up at Civic Reserve, so come down to Civic Reserve today to enjoy a snag and support Mental Health Safety Net.

The juniors are playing this morning and the Reserves will kick off at 1pm, followed by the Seniors at 3pm.

Soccer fans head down to Civic Reserve on 19 July for the Mental Health Safety Net Cup, held each year between Mount Martha Soccer Club and Mount Eliza Soccer Club, and enjoy a snag from the Absolute Soccer BBQ ⚽🥅

The Mental Health Safety Net Cup is an event close to the heart of the charity’s founder Mick Simmons. A proud Spurs man still basking in his team's Europa League glory, Mick is well known in the Peninsula soccer community.

Three years ago, the inaugural Mental Health Safety Net Cup was played between local clubs Mount Eliza Soccer Club and Mount Martha Soccer Club, who also happened to be State League 5 South rivals at the time.

Earlier this year, Mount Eliza earned bragging rights with a 3-1 win at Emil Madsen, but the Mariners will be out to square the ledger at Civic Reserve next Saturday (July 19). Reserves kick-off at 1pm followed by the seniors at 3pm.

The Absolute Soccer BBQ will be fired up throughout the day to raise crucial funds for MHSN. Mick will also discuss the importance of mental health with players after the game. See you there!

It was wonderful to see so many people come out to support the Miles & Smiles Fun Run Raising Funds for Mental Health Safety Net.

Entrants chose their time to run (or walk) around the athletics track, ranging from 30 minutes up to 2.5 hours! One of the entrants ran an impressive 32kms 🏃

Well done to Jack and the Miles & Smiles Run Club for coming up with this fantastic event, and to everyone who got out there in support of MHSN, and to everyone who made a donation.

Huge thanks go to the volunteers who helped out on the day, Stew from Bay Events for donating the stage and equipment, the Mornington Athletics Track for allowing us to use their incredible facilities, Mornington Nutrition for providing their product samples, DJ Darragh for spinning some tunes, and Mel from Coffee On Q for providing all the coffee fixes 🙌
