Enough is enough.

Our industry is suffering. 2 years in a row All major events have been cancelled or postponed. We understand that our government is trying to keep us safe, but all these small buisnesses need support.
They keep saying that we will support all these small buisnesses, But the truth in reality is that all these small buisnesses that applied for grants had strict criteria that makes no sense for these small buisnesses. I.E had to clear $75,000 last financial year, plus other criteria.
If a small buisness cleared over $75,000 they won't need the grant as much as the smaller buisnesses.

Surely our government can step in and allow these events that are critical to our state's economy with strict conditions I.e limited capacity each day, a scaled back event using only local buisnesses.?

Why is this a MUST?

These events like the Adelaide Show bring in over 500,000+ visitors per year. The economical benefits from Such an event is huge.

Employment
SMALL company contracts (Electricians, vendors, plumbers and more)
Exposure (Ongoing work well after these events are over)
Revenue for the state ( Over $500,000 for the state)

Now we respect our government and its decisions but can't understand these events are cancelled but events like the football can go ahead?

We are now asking for our governments help, We're Now speaking on behalf of all Hospitality buisnesses, if this doesn't happen soon our hospitality industry is going to suffer AND SUFFER BIG TIME including:
And this is why:

Buisnesses will be forced to close
Unemployment will rise
Income revenue will be affected
And other major factors include supply chains I.e transport, commercial realestate, Farmers just to mention a few will be affected down the line due to these buisnesses having to shut their doors.

We are lucky in a sort of a way that we don't have Major over heads like these Other major Reasturants or cafes, but don't think for a moment we're not feeling the effects.

In the last 2 years we have had to close our Cafe.
We have had numerous major events that we were apart of be cancelled. We rely on events thus is our income, this pays our bills provides a living and yes people will say welcome to buisness but like many other buisnesses we Pay taxes we have worked hard to stay afloat (Thanks to our beautiful customers) WE WORKED HARD TO GET TO WHERE WE ARE , LIKE MANY OTHER SMALL FAMILY BUISNESSES.

We can go on but we're asking our government now to wake up and listen to its voters, Our industry..
