It’s been an incredibly difficult week for our community following the horrendous attack at Club Q in Colorado. This attack hurts us because we know just how important it is that our community has safe spaces to celebrate and be free in our identities. It’s never lost on us that we have an immense responsibility in trying to create these spaces so queer Tasmanians do feel safe and loved. Thanks for the shoutout today from Senator Carol Brown in the Parliament to highlight how critical this task is after the events of the last week. While we will mourn the terrible loss of life, we won’t ever stop being ourselves- unashamedly celebrating our identities with love and joy.
