It’s been an incredibly difficult week for our community following the horrendous attack at Club Q in Colorado.
This attack hurts us because we know just how important it is that our community has safe spaces to celebrate and be free in our identities.
It’s never lost on us that we have an immense responsibility in trying to create these spaces so q***r Tasmanians do feel safe and loved.
Thanks for the shoutout today from Senator Carol Brown in the Parliament to highlight how critical this task is after the events of the last week.
While we will mourn the terrible loss of life, we won’t ever stop being ourselves- unashamedly celebrating our identities with love and joy.

Fresh from touring as a singer for Australian icons Pnau, and supporting Holy Holy on their national tour, Medhanit is bringing a new live show to her home state of Tasmania for the first time.
After releasing her debut single Her, and second single, Same Things, Medhanit has spent time working on a string of new songs set for release over the next 12 months.
Medhanit has been performing at events such as Mona Foma, Party In The Paddock, Junction Arts Festival and Faux Mo, and managed to develop a relationship with Holy Holy, performing on their Triple J Like A Version cover of Post Mallone & Swae Lee’s Sunflower.
