A great cold weather lockdown wine. Nice bottle development from Barossa viognier, after eight years in bottle. Richly textured with flavours of nectarine, poached pear and quince. Absolutely smashable with pate!

A lazy bouillabaisse with 2009 Birdwood estate Riesling from the Adelaide Hills. A wine that was super acidic when young, has now evolved into a richly textured wine with loads of flavour. Think preserved lemon, lime, and cumquat. Worth the wait.

Christmas day with an unintentional Coonawarra feel. Wines randomly pulled from the rack; Yalumba Menzies 1997 Coonawarra Cabernet, and Leconfield 2013 Coonawarra Riesling. Went beautifully with baked ham, potato bake, and Lobster Mornay. Who knew we could cook!
