As event organizers, we see our job is to provide people of all abilities the platform to perform the best they can.

When you add in the right ingredients of perfect weather, deep fields and athletes who have prepared phenomenally well, then you get special days.

Last year at the Strait Link Burnie Ten Jack Rayner set the fastest time over 10km on Aus soil (also an Aus record).

Yesterday at the McGrath Launceston Running Festival Leanne Pompeani also ran the fastest time on Aus soil.

We’re just a small business following our dreams and helping others achieve theirs.

We are proud of this one... the TasCarnivals documentary, created by DUFF TV and Epic airs tomorrow on SBS at 2pm.

The documentary gives viewers an insight into the workings and history of the Tasmanian Christmas Carnivals, as well as shines a light on some pretty iconic Tassie towns and athletes.

The Epic Events and Marketing team spent the past week in Sydney, for the 2022 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival!

The World Marathon major candidacy event has been postponed since 2020, so this was a big deal!

The team were brought in to help the Pont 3 team to achieve its goal of attaining World Marathon major status, through its candidacy program.
Epic's roles involved elite athlete management services, hospitality, marketing and expo support and most importantly - picking up the event branded Porsche's 😎

EXCITING TEAM NEWS:

Richard Welsh has accepted the role of General Manager for the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Bathurst in February.

He'll still be Race Director and Promoter of our events, but to bolster the team we have some promotions;
Eliza Hesketh - is now our Events and Marketing Manager
Anita Welsh - is now Operations Manager (new role)

After 16 years, it’s time for someone else to put their spin on it.
Since 2007, our Managing Director Richard Welsh had played a role at the Cadbury Marathon.
Initially as an employee supporting Colin Oliver and Athletics Tasmania, then as Race Director and also supporting Shelley Miller.
Thank you to the many thousands of participants over the years, sponsors, suppliers and amazing volunteers, family and team members.
It’s a huge undertaking for a small team, but we do it for the community and to bring joy to people in an active way.

YEAH MILLY!!
After a new marathon PB of 2:26:59 in winning the Nike Melbourne Marathon yesterday, some say Milly Clark is back.
Truth is, she’s been in Tassie smashing training for years as major marathons around her got cancelled.
Since her last marathon she’s run PBs over 800, 5000 and 10km with wins all over the place.
She hasn’t been missing, she’s been getting it done on our great island!
We’re so proud of our Milly. Get around her when she races in Tassie again this Summer.

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s collaboration.
Last week our team headed to Adelaide to organize the The Bloody Long Walk. A 35km urban trek to raise money for Mito Foundation.
We had an amazing crew of 11 event professionals helping out the The Shift.Agency who were stuck in Sydney and only 1 of us had worked in the event before.
The result was 1450 people able to raise nearly $400,000 for a great cause.

It’s never lost on us that every day we get to plan and deliver events that form a small part of the journey of so many elite athletes.
As we engross ourselves in the viewing of the Tokyo Olympics, we thought we’d look back on all the athletes competing in the games that have raced with us over the years.
There’s been over 50 Olympians over the years do our events and we look forward to continuing to play a role for many Olympiads to come.
