Hi, Iโm Kylie Hancox. I'm a Civil Marriage Celebrant, trained Funeral Celebrant, a wife, a daughter. I'm a mother to wee babes who earned their angel wings too early. I'm also a professionally trained human behaviour and mindset coach, hypnotherapist, accredited speaker, trainer and facilitator, a leadership specialist with 30 years corporate experience in my toolkit, a Justice of the Peace (Qual) Qld and amongst many other things I love life.
Yes, Iโve got more than one set of earrings and a couple of small visible tattoos. Iโm a bit zany, fun-loving and always up for a challenge. I adore the magic of creating ceremonies that are as unique as the fabulous people I get to meet and know.

Our wedding is something we often dream about from the time weโre little. Then one day our perfect someone walks into our life, compliments it so beautifully and completely, and suddenly all of our dreams are on fast-forward to becoming reality. How wonderful!

Life and love should always be celebrated and my passion is creating ceremonies that are as individual as the beautiful I meet. That means making your ceremony all about you, not me. My role is to make your day stress-free, thoroughly enjoyable and absolutely memorable.
I love creating ceremonies that are 100% you. So, after we've met, discussed what your ideas and wishes are, I set about designing and delivering a wedding ceremony that uniquely matches who you are as a couple. You deserve to have the wedding of your dreams: be that classical, elegant and sophisticated, rustic, vintage, beach, themed or even adventurous! Scuba diving, helicopters, planes, trains, hot air balloons โ itโs all possible.
Together we bring to life the wedding ceremony that you've been dreaming of. You know, the one, you and your guests, remember for years to come - for all the right reasons! And because love is love, all couples are welcomed.
And if you need something special or pretty for your signing table Iโve got a range of word signs, block signs and adorable statues that you can choose from..... theyโre all part of my packages. A PA system and microphone are provided for all ceremonies, and yes, you can put music on a USB and play it through the PA for your ceremony. You just need to supply a โhelperโ to do that during the ceremony.
My Wedding packages range from sweet and simple 'Legals Only' through to almost anything you can dream of, and yes, I offer discounted services for weekday weddings. Iโll travel almost anywhere for your ceremony, and Iโm pet and child-friendly. So, if you have an idea letโs get together and see what magic we can create. The coffee is on me.
PS. I use Zoom for โface-to-face meetingsโ if youโre not in the general Brisbane area, so itโs always easy for us to stay in touch.
FUNERALS and MEMORIAL SERVICES
Itโs weird, I know, but I really love doing funeral and memorial services. Iโve walked with grief for most of my life, and Iโm very good at what I do. One beautiful person said:

Saying goodbye to a loved one is one of those such moments. It's a time when we need someone to hold our hand, to walk with us and gently guide the way. It's in these moments that families need a celebrant who can serve the living and honour the dead. A celebrant to be there for and with them, and one who will create a ceremony where all present - friends, family and colleagues - experience all the life passed meant to them.

The tapestry of life has provided many goodbyes for me to become the woman and celebrant I am. Elderly family, my children, friends, colleagues; illnesses, misadventures, accidents, suicides. Too much experience, in too many areas, and yet I am grateful for it all.
I've worked with families from all walks of life; meeting them and speaking to them on any level they need. Every page in my life story has deepened my skills to serve the living. Collectively my life experiences and professional training have provided me with a unique ability to provide care, compassion and service to the living while honouring those who have passed.
Iโm incredibly passionate about people, and honouring the milestones in their life, enabling those I work with to be the best version of themselves whilst on this earth.
I'm passionate about educating people about life and death, especially dispelling the myths and fears so many have regarding death and funerals. If you have any questions, Iโm more than happy to answer them, and if I donโt know the answers, I most definitely have the right network of people who do.
My skills include grief support and my passion is in providing care and celebrant services for funerals. In my world, there is no greater honour or service than being entrusted with the farewell of a loved one.

NAMING CEREMONIES
Our name is so important; itโs the thing that makes us, well us. Itโs how people know us, and how we know ourselves, and the ritual of name giving is one of the oldest rituals in human history.
Perhaps youโre planning a baby or little person naming ceremony? Itโs beautiful to include the story of how their name came to be. Itโs honouring those for whom a child is named. What a gift.
And if your grown and find your identity changes, well pop the champagne and letโs celebrate your name!
Naming ceremonies can be held on their own, and they also make an unusual inclusion in a wedding ceremony. I recently included a (re)naming for a bride in her wedding ceremony, and it was met with a huge chorus of cheers.
All naming ceremonies include storytelling and a commemorative certificate. Certificates for little people and babies can also add a hand or footprint. In fact, we can also do that for adults should you so desire.
RENEWAL OF VOWS
Time. Itโs amazing how quickly time flies.
One moment itโs your wedding day, full of excitement and amazing moments. The next thing you know ten, twenty-five, fifty or more years have passed by.
You might even be celebrating your Diamond or Platinum Anniversary. And if you are, congratulations!
I design Renewal of Vows ceremonies that meet every dream youโve ever had. Because your ceremony is crafted especially for you, it means you can reconnect with the excitement of and rekindle the feelings you had on your wedding day.
Youโd like a small and intimate ceremony? Perfect! Or maybe you want to go all out and share your special day with your grown family. Fabulous! Perhaps you didnโt get to celebrate your original wedding day quite the way you wanted. Iโm sorry. However, this means now is the perfect time to have the ceremony youโve always of.

COMMITMENT CEREMONIES
Sometimes itโs just not possible to marry the we you love.
That doesnโt mean that you canโt show your commitment to each other through a uniquely designed and crafted commitment ceremony.
Because commitment ceremonies are non-binding, thereโs no legal paperwork to be complete. Nor are there any specific vows that need to be said. This means that the whole service is able to be created just how you want it to be.
So, if youโre waiting for a time that you can marry your love, you can absolutely celebrate your relationship now with a commitment ceremony.
Itโs a beautiful way to show just how much your special someone means to you.
