💥 Event Recap 💥

Last month we partnered with the folks at G8 Education to close out their 3 day event at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Designing and facilitating a team-building game for over 450 people provides a unique set of challenges, but it is one the Banana Life team approaches with gusto. ☄️

Criteria:
- fun, memorable, unique, inclusive and accessible (without a doubt!)
- aligned with Company values and amplifies the Conference theme 'Growing Wonderful'
- efficient and accurate scoring
- inspires and delights the attendees
- adds value to the greater conference by including sponsors into the game
- includes collaborative elements to anchor the feeling of 'One Team'

And boy we delivered, with the following:
- just being ourselves
- attention to detail
- an impressive array of planted actors and performers
- incredible team of facilitators
- tight turnaround to showcase user-generated content

Epic team. Epic event! What a fun and exciting place to work Super Butcher 👏🏽🔥

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, mateys! To wrap up Super Butcher Day with some swashbuckling fun, we brought in our friends Banana Life to run an Amazing Race-style competition for our crew! Everyone split into teams, donned their best pirate costumes, and set sail on a treasure hunt full of adventure and mischief! 🏴‍☠️

A hearty congratulations to our Eagle Farm team who claimed the b***y! They sailed away with a trophy, VISA gift cards for each crew member, and a stash of snacks and drinks to keep them fueled. Yo ho ho, what a day! 🏆🎉🍻

Your team is worth the effort and so are you!
We get to work with so many fantastic businesses but some companies REALLY know how to set both us and their team up for success.

It’s the little things that make the big impact; the decorations, the dress-ups, the team formations... and the team from Roesener and Hamilton GETS IT.

Last week, Host Jo had a cracker afternoon with the crew, playing a construction-themed Hustle in a game zone surrounding their office. The little things you can see here made a huge impact on the outstanding outcomes of the event!

We added a card making station to our Bike Build exercise where the participants write a message to the future recipient of the bike they are building. We think this is a great way to connect the 2 parties. 🍌🍌❤️

Getting to know you.

One of our favourite things about team-building is helping groups learn new things about each other. Our FUN FACT MATCH game in our VIRTUAL GAME SHOW accomplishes this goal by asking each player to answer a question and then players on the other team try to figure out who wrote it. The answers are often enlightening and hilarious.

Here is just one example of the type of question you might get asked.
"Aside from necessities (and your phone and coffee), what is one thing you could not go a day without?"

Meet "GUTSY", a game inspired by a video seen on Facebook. We had it custom-made by a local craftsman who used a CNC machine to cut it to our exacting specifications. GUTSY strikes the perfect balance of team communication and skill. 💯💯

We love feedback from our clients and we realize how important it is for a business to grow. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to any event and that is why we ask all of our clients to tell us how we did at the end of each event.

Every single event we’re asking them, “What can we do better?" And then we’re taking that feedback and incorporating it into our approach.

Each year we work with Study Gold Coast to build team spirit for the Gold Coast Student Ambassadors. We did a bespoke activity that was building and decorating toys which were distributed to the local community via GIVIT.org.au
