Wow! What an amazing surprise! Narooma Oyster Festival 🦪 won the Eurobodalla Business Award for Outstanding Visitor Experience 2024.
Bravo to the team (Cath, Carrie & Sarah) who allowed me to be a little part of this year’s success. It has been a privilege to work with you and now call you friends.
A huge thanks to the 140+ volunteers who bring the festival to life. None of it would be possible without you!

Congratulations to all the other businesses who were nominated and won last night as well. Particularly for Business of the Year!

What a blast to be part of the Incognito Art Show! I submitted two paintings and was thrilled to have one of mine purchased by a dear friend who happened to walk past the gallery this morning! 🎨 🖼️
I also purchased a beautiful piece by .artist which I love.

Meeting the incredibly talented local producers is the best possible perk of my involvement in the

Today I met with Gavin & Karen from North of Eden Gin. They are a paddock to bottle distillery growing many of their own botanicals and weaving in ingredients such as 600 oyster shells in the distilling process of their new Oyster Shell Vodka & Gin. 🦪 🍸!

So much to learn from this talented duo about their processes. Including now being the first Australian distillery to use locally grown juniper berries from the Snowy Monaro Region of NSW.

Can’t wait to have them involved in this year’s festival!

Hey friends - As you know I'm working on the Narooma Oyster Festival which will take place from 3-4 May 2024.
Accommodation is already getting hectic in Narooma and many of you have expressed an interest in coming down. Bus transfers will run from nearby towns including Tilba.
I can recommend Tilba Coastal Retreat as one option. It is currently available and is also dog friendly. All three suites are available - so a total of 8 adults could fit in this configuration.
Let me know if you'd like to know more about this or other accommodation ideas.

I was so saddened to read the sign at Balmain’s beloved this morning. (➡️ swipe next pic to read).

Years ago said Contessa served the best omelettes in the land, we have been massive regulars of Marco & his wonderful cafe.

Sending love and thanks to Marco and the entire Contessa family for being such a huge part of the community. I hope you’ll emerge renewed and refreshed after a well earned break. Very very sad in the meantime. ❤️‍🩹

The Fall Season at started with a construction of cranes landing on the roof of the chateau mid-migration. A sight we will never forget. Our first lovely group arrived and after a visit to and a car picnic on the bank of the Canal du Midi, we headed back to the Chateau for a delicious lunch prepared by and The evening wrapped up reading by candlelight in the medieval kitchen. I love nothing more than setting a table for dinner. Tonight is my 50th birthday. I’m having another dinner at home with my family. Sashimi & sushi 🍣 = no cooking! 👌🏻. The table has been styled with hand printed wallpaper from and antique glass cutlery holders and sake cups.

A special day out with my dear uncle 💙. We drove past the house he & mum grew up in, checked out all the new developments on the ski fields above their old house, visited my grandmas’s grave and popped in to the 12th century Torpo Stave Church on the way home. Best dramatic cloud ☁️day ever! Tusen Takk Onkel Tobbe. 💙

Home alone in the Chateau after a great week with our lovely Cooking in the cuisine guests. I’m kicking the last of my cold goodbye and enjoying time in the kitchen with lovely Chestnut on my lap and Blinky is upset there’s not room for two. The roses are spectacular and the new flowers I collected today await arranging in the morning. Bon nuit! 💕
