I married Steve and Linda under the beautiful Tamarind Tree at the Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton. Tomorrow we will say goodbye.

Passed away peacefully on Monday 22nd July 2024 surrounded by his loving family
Aged 60 years

Dearly loved Husband to Linda. Adored Father and Father-in-law to Luke and Megan, Nikita and Jeff, Kiarna and Brayden, Jasmaine and Josh, Nathan and Rosie, Matthew and Amanda, Jeremy (dec). Much loved Poppy Steve to his grandchildren. Loved Son to Rex (dec) and Sue McLennan and Evelyn and Alistair Lumsten (both dec). Cherished Brother and Brother-in-law to Lee-Anne (dec), Roger and Jo, Cheryl, Trevor (dec) and Elaine, Margaret and Rodney and much loved Uncle to their families.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Steve’s (Panda) Life to held in the East Chapel of the Rockhampton Crematorium on Tuesday 30th July 2024 commencing at 11 am.

Jane said "she doesn't do weddings anymore". When Trent and Sally rang me I nearly said no because it was in Bundy on the first day of Beef Week... but... it sounded fun and I was going to be close by anyway...

It was emotional and memorable.

There were two hens afternoons next to each other yesterday and they were both my brides 😍

Maddy came running out to give "Aunty Shazza" a hug and then I got to be the fun aunty at Tace's.

Can't wait to marry both these girls to the two beautiful men I have loved since they were little boys.

Grief never ends but it changes.
It is a passage, not a place to stay.
Grief is the price of love.

Today under a big blue sky, we committed Peter's body to the earth, on his farm, as he wished.

Yesterday we had a magnificent funeral at The Rockhampton Grammar School Rowing Club.

In the embrace of the earth we find comfort. In the expanse of the sky, we find hope.

Rest peacefully Peter - we all wish it for you.

Today we will farewell Peter.

We will paint the story of his life, we will have conversation hour and we will eat boiled peanuts.

We will marvel at all that he was and all that he did.

Much like my Dad, he was one of a kind. I am blessed to help my friend Rae say goodbye to her Dad today.

Family and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service for Peter to be held at The Rockhampton Grammar Rowing Club, 36 Harman Street, Wandal on Tuesday 9th July 2024 commencing at 11 am.
The family will lay Peter to rest at "Weir Park."

Yesterday was 6 years since I married my first couple.

Since then I have helped more than 160 couples declare their commitment to each other in the eyes of the law and often in front of those they love most.

I have traipsed from Rocky, to Gladstone, Melbourne to Lismore, Hervey Bay to Jericho, Emu Park and Agnes Waters to Biloela.

We have cried, we have laughed, there have been so many moments that have taken my breath away. I have so many new friends - couples I married as well as other wedding vendors.

It is a privilege and an honour and I thank my family and friends who help, support and encourage me.

Thank you everyone for choosing me.

It was a two wedding weekend.
On Friday, Shaylee and Liam made their lifelong commitment to each other and this morning I had another beautiful ceremony.

It rained at The Paddock quite heavily about ten minutes before Shaylee arrived, but Claire and the team are such pros that we were able to dry the chairs off and have our beautiful garden ceremony.

I know I say every wedding was the “best” ever but that’s because they ARE.

Marrying Trent and Sally was the biggest treat and I’ve made new friends.

Hugs all round. My wedding bell, my s-ironing table, cookies from Jannice's Baked Treats, a 100th birthday 🥳 and then Trent serenaded Sally with “you look wonderful tonight” and we all cried.

S&R were married at the Capricorn Aged Care Facility so that a special family member could be present.

The staff, residents and family members shared in our joy and watched on as our special guest rang my wedding bell.
