ROYAL ADELAIDE SHOW JOBS AVAILABLE

We are seeking outgoing & reliable staff to work this year’s Adelaide Show
🎪🎡🎠🎢🎟️🎆

Jobs available are either:
Working on kids rides or
Carnival game (limited positions)

- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a valid Working With Children check (or willing to get one)
- Must have Tax File Number and Superannuation details
- Experience dealing with customers
- Must be physically fit and able to stand on feet for entire shift
- Previous experience handling cash & EFTPOS is a bonus
- Must have good availability for the full 9 days, from 31st of August - 8th of September

Rate of pay is Casual, based off the Travelling Shows Award (whatever your age is)

Sad update from our friends.
We will be on the beautiful Semaphore Foreshore again with our family friendly carnival.
Come on down and have some fun, grab some food and fly your kites 🪁

This is never a fun announcement for us to make 💔

Today we have the unfortunate update that we have made the difficult decision not to proceed with the 2022 Adelaide International Kite Festival.

Over recent months and weeks, we have continued to monitor the restrictions around COVID-19 for large scale events such as ours and whilst we had hoped that we could forge ahead for 2022, it simply isn’t feasible.

A COVID Management Plan requires an event such as ours to crowd control and ensure QR check-in for all guests and with our Festival site at Semaphore this simply was not possible. We have been looking into new locations within the City of Port Adelaide Enfield council region and whilst a few options were found, these sites required fencing to be brought in as well as security to monitor and control crowd numbers as well as a ticketing system to be introduced and this simply proved too expensive and difficult for us to manage.

We do hope that given we have some options now up our sleeves for future, as well as the increase in our vaccination numbers and that we are all now learning to “live with the virus” that it will mean events such as ours are in a much better position to proceed next year.

We will miss you all and hope that you still manage to fly your own kites this Easter long weekend - onwards and upwards to Easter 2023 🪁
