Spirited Events is borne from a love and passion for music, specifically Devotional, World and Sacred, and the positive and transformational affect it has in people's lives. We are committed to providing quality music events on the North Coast NSW (and occasionally beyond!), and connecting you with other events we hear about. Join us for a Sunday afternoon soiree of Indian Classical Music at the Nimbin Church of Aquarius, with the the incredible Vinod Prasanna on Bansuri Flute and the amazing Bobby Singh on Tabla.
Both seasoned players within the realms of Hindustani Music, you'll be taken on a lovely journey into other worlds.

Facebook has been cancelling any events that are linked with the ticketing platform Humanitix - for what reason we are not sure! However I just want to assure you that the Hindustani Slide Event is still running this Friday in Nimbin, and also the one on Saturday at Ocean Shores...
You can still purchase tickets via Humanitix - just search Hindustani Slide Guitar Nimbin and you will find the link.

House of Bliss Kirtan THIS SATURDAY night. A lovely group of musicians with beautiful chants for the Goddess as we are in the midst of Chaitra Navaratri. A delightful combination of Classical Indian kirtan/bhajan introducing the night followed by more regular kirtan.
We’d love you to join us for this sweet event with Bikram, Shivam, DanaLee, Hielrick, Kathryn and introducing Paramjeet on tabla.

Kirtan is a wonderful way to connect deeper with yourself and universal consciousness through the chanting of mantra, usually in Sanskrit. Made all the more powerful with a community of fellow seekers!

This month, we have a line-up of relatively traditional musicians with Shivam Rath on Chataurangui (Indian Slide Guitar) & vocals, Bikram Malhar from Melbourne on harmonium & vocals, Paramjeet Namdhari from Brisbane on Tabla, DanaLee on harmonium & vocals, and Hielrick on percussion.

We look forward to welcoming you this Saturday, with Amma's kitchen's delicious veg plate, chai and tasty sweets available from 6.00pm.

Coming up in December....
Sangeet Mishra Returns to Aussie shores!
With a few Northern NSW shows before heading to Woodford later in the month.
In Murwillumbah on Sunday 17th, he's supported by Shen Flindell on Tabla, and a new face to us, Vinayak Huggannavar on vocals.
This day prior to the concert, Vinayak will be sharing his wisdom about Indian Classical Music and taking us through an experiential voyage into the world of Indian Vocal practise.
Looking forward - tickets are open for all events now!

Last night! What a treat!
Thanks to all who came along to enjoy a beautiful night of dance and music!
And special thanks to the lovely folks at Amma's kitchen Amma Byron Bay Satsang for their superb food, cakes and chai and kindness!
And to Yuki Taniguchi Yogeshwari for her intense Chhau Dance of Shiva! Yuki displayed such strength to hold the poses for a long time, mostly on one leg as she presented the story of Shiva.

Then Vinod Prasanna & Shen Flindell took to the stage - such a delightful and blissful show, with many special moments. I think most people would agree that after seeing that performance, they have a new understanding of the intricacies of the Bansuri and how it sounds in masterful hands - so many different sounds and techniques from one instrument. Coupled Shen's artful and virtuistic expression on the Tabla added to the superb evening.
A true delight to behold!

Meet the impressive Yogeshwari Giri!

Presenting Mayurbhanj Chhau Dance from Orisha.
Chhau Dance is a semi-classical form with martial, folk, and tribal traditions! The stories enacted include those from the Hindu epics - the Mahabharata, Ramayana and the Puranas!

You can see Yogeshwari Giri, along with Vinod Prasanna on Bansuri & Shen Flindell on Tabla at the MALA event this FRIDAY 15th September at Bangalow A & I Hall.

Doors from 6.00pm with delicious dinner available and show at 7.00pm!

Happy to say that the last Mala gig was such a beautiful night - if you couldn't make it, here's some of the love... <3 So very thankful to Shen Flindell, Josh Feinberg and Shivam Rath (also co-organising) for a VERY special evening! The music was truly something to imbibe for meditation and enlivening the soul. And to those who came out to the event on a very cold night! Very grateful to you! More events coming up over time - loving the focus on Indian Classical as it's been in my heart personally for many years! So there will be more to come! Safe travels home Josh!
