🌱 Announcing Our Plenary Speaker for the 2nd International Conference on Materials for a Green Future 2025! 🌎 https://lnkd.in/gs7CNnEj

We are delighted to introduce another of our distinguished plenary speakers, Prof. Hui-Ming Cheng. An Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Cheng is a globally recognized leader in carbon materials and energy research. He serves as the Director of the Advanced Carbon Research Division at the Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science and the Institute of Technology for Carbon Neutrality at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Cheng’s pioneering work in energy materials, carbon nanotubes, graphene, and 2D materials has led to over 800 high-impact publications with an impressive h-index of 155, making him a Highly Cited Researcher in materials science, chemistry, and environment and ecology. His significant achievements include three State Natural Science Awards of China, as well as the Charles E. Pettinos Award from the American Carbon Society, the Felcht Award from SGL Germany, and the ACS Nano Lecture Award. Prof. Cheng has also spun off several high-tech companies, highlighting his commitment to translating research into real-world applications.

We’re thrilled to announce a special one-day workshop on "Crustacean and Shellfish Research Underpinning Aquaculture and Fisheries Enhancement" at the Aqua Horizons Conference, taking place April 28-30, 2025! (Register here: [https://lnkd.in/g9hNmwFG))

This session will be led by Professor Greg Smith, Director of the ARC Research Hub for Sustainable Onshore Lobster Aquaculture from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), University of Tasmania. Greg’s recent experience in the UK & EU has inspired the creation of this event, which aims to unite researchers, farmers, fishermen, government representatives, industry professionals, and NGOs in the fields of Spiny and European Lobsters and Shellfish reef restoration.

The goal? To exchange ideas, forge new partnerships, and transform research into actionable real-world outcomes!
