My Story

For 24 years I was a photojournalist with the Herald Sun newspaper in Melbourne. During my time working in the newspaper industry I covered Victorian and national news events, high profile identities, special features as well as Melbourne’s major sporting events.

Between 2000 - 2006 I was Picture Editor for the Sunday Herald Sun, coordinating the paper’s pictorial content and managing and mentoring many of Melbourne’s highly respected newspaper photographers of the time.

In 2012 I establish my freelance business Darren Tindale Photography after calling time on my time at the Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun.

I now enjoy life away from the hustle and bustle of the newspaper industry and live on the Mornington Peninsula with my partner Bronwen Healy, a specialist equine photographer. I now enjoy and relish the challenge of working with a diverse mixture of corporate and personal clients who entrust me with the production of their high quality photographic needs.
