'Kid’ James is the new kid on the block in the Australian rockabilly scene.
A naturally talented musician, James picked up the guitar at age six and spent his formative years absorbing the style of Johnny Cash, Warren Smith, Charlie Feathers and Elvis Presley, before joining the Shane Mago Combo at age 14. Now in his 20s, 'Kid' James is the frontman of his own band, showcasing his original compositions and impressing audiences with his exceptional skills on the guitar.

The Mezcaltones play the good, the bad and the groovy. Their show is a slick and exciting ride with a talented posse of guitar slingers galloping through original country tunes backed up with the rich twang of 1960s surf instrumentals.
On stage you have four men disguised as cowboys and two women dressed to thrill in Spanish garb and exotic dance moves, with a bag of tricks with masks, scarves, belts, ribbons and they will be making their first appearance at GreazeFest, on Sunday, August 4.

GreazeFest Presents: C.W. Stoneking
C.W. Stoneking is an authentic Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist, well known for his unique blues and boogaloo style.
One of Stoneking's greatest powers are his voice and ability to tell stories through his music. When he sings, his music transports the audience into a world filled with vintage blues, hokum and jump-jive. C.W. Stoneking's talent has been well recognised through industry awards and nominations, too numerous to mention here, that include albums "King Hokum" (2007), "Jungle Blues" (2009), and "Gon' Boogaloo" (2015).
Stoneking will be joined by his Primitive Horn Orchestra to perform songs from his back catalogue and will be performing an exclusive show at GreazeFest, on Sunday afternoon August 4.

Announcing the GreazeFest License Plate Art Show for 2024!
Calling all creators! It’s time to fuel your imagination and transform an automotive license plate into a kool work of art, in support of the RSPCA.
We are inviting artists to participate in our annual GreazeFest Art Show, with our new License Plate theme for 2024. This is your chance to create a cool piece of custom art, be it painted, sculpted, milled, rusted or chromed.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting your creative journey, we welcome artists of all levels and styles to join us in our annual display. The Art Show will be a dazzling display of talent and creativity where everyone can play a part in helping animals in need.
All submissions will be on public display on Saturday and Sunday at the GreazeFest Art Show. Attendees can cast their vote for their favourite piece, as well as purchase plates that are nominated for sale. Net proceeds of the show will go in support of the RSPCA.
GreazeFest and our artists have been supporting the RSPCA for many years and have raised over $9000 for our furry friends.
How to participate:
1. Simply send us a DM on Facebook or Instagram to register your interest.
2. We will send you a blank license plate for you to decorate, or you can use your own.
3. The deadline for finished works is July 15.
4. Our aim is to create an exciting and diverse Art Show, while ensuring that all artwork is respectful and ethical. We reserve the right to approve participating artists, and artwork.

GreazeFest has always been dedicated to celebrating the genres of rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, country and rhythm'n'blues: the music that represents the origins of contemporary music. For over two decades, Robot Productions and GreazeFest has presented performers of these genres, bringing together the bands and their followers and creating an exciting and unique live music experience.

Hi everyone, we had a great gig yesterday at the Summertime Shakedown! Despite the extreme heatwave, music fans flocked to the show, to dance and catch up with friends, both old and new. From all reports, The Clubhouse Moorooka venue was a hit, even though their club air con in the concert space was struggling (a staff member dashed to Bunnings mid-show for some extra fans). But, we were lucky to not receive the predicted thunderstorms, which have rolled into SEQ this morning. Thank you to The Rhythmaires, Paulie Burke, Jake & the Cadillacs and Leapin’ Lawrie Beal. Thanks also to everyone who attended the show (including those travelling long distances), as well as our creative vendors, our sound team, and the friendly crew at the venue. Established by Director Lori Lee Cash in the year 2000, the Queensland based events business produces indoor and outdoor events, pop-up food markets, classic car displays, fashion parades, live music concerts, art exhibitions, indoor and outdoor markets, trade stand events and more.
The highlight on the Robot Productions calendar is their signature event, GreazeFest, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2019.
