Equine Supported Learning will recommence in February 2024. We've had an eventful and busy year supporting dozens of children, teenagers, adults and groups with the horses and other animals, beautiful environment and fabulous human helpers. We even managed to run a 6 week art program with the wonderful Matthew Reynolds. Thanks to all those who have supported the ESL family, including The Wisdom of The Horse, Mark Langley Horsemanship, Trusting Connections therapeutic supports, Autism Camp Australia, Matt, Alex, Freya, wonderful parents, carers and support workers, friends and family. Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season and all the very best for 2024!

Love our work at autism camp 💖

Such a special moment captured here at our Tweed Byron camp with Ann who runs Equine Supported Learning Settling into his first camp was a little tricky for Phoenix, but our Equine therapy workshop was definitely a grounding experience that helped Phoenix to find his groove. Here's what Mum Petra had to say about camp....

TESTIMONIAL

"We were blown away by the commitment of the staff and support team. The first couple of days were difficult for Phoenix to adjust but everybody was so encouraging and understanding we felt supported and loved. The activities for both Autistic and sibling (groups) were so wonderful that they wanted to engage in them, it was lovely to see them having a ball and just being able to experience our first family holiday ever!"

📷🌈🐴☀️They say a picture tells a thousand words, what does this picture say to you?

Day 2 of our TweedByron Camp yesterday saw Ann and Joanne of Equine Supported Learning bring the magic of equine assisted therapy to the children at camp. Although there was a chill in the air, the sun shone and the horses delighted the group. Here's Hannah having a rare hug with Penny. Rare because Penny isn't always too fond of human affection, but she's clearly enjoying the calm interaction with Hannah.

These are the incredible goosebump moments at camp that we all relish and remember. All the little breakthroughs that make such an incredible difference in the lives of the children.📷🌈🐴☀️

The power of water! Hearts break for all those people and animals impacted by this weather which sadly seems to be the new normal. Catastrophic climate change is well and truly upon us. Fortunately all people and animals ok on higher ground 🐴🐄🦄💜

Horses really do need space to play and run around. These guys are enjoying a break in the weather.

💙💚💛🧡❤️That special moment when a bond is created between child and horse at our Equine Assisted Therapy workshops. We run EAT workshops with qualified providers at each camp location and the benefits the children gain are immeasurable. Scroll down through our feed and watch the interview with Ann Poulsen from Equine Supported Learning for the full scoop on the beauty of this therapy.

So hope this workshop will still run. Singing together lifts our spirits and gladdens our hearts. Please contact Adrian ...

Dear sweet Coco. From a tiny foal separated from her mum by a pack of starving wild dogs in the Central Desert, to the most incredibly empathetic 7 year old horse you could ever meet. She is the one who reassures any horse or human who is sad, sick or scared. She is an excellent therapy pony and a beautiful soul 💖

Coco is part of the herd at Burringbar Equine Supported Learning. She is a great teacher of boundaries and authentic connection. All of the horses that are included in our workshops have unique personalities and qualities that help our participants understand more about themselves. It’s like no other form of personal and professional development and I am so grateful to be able to create learning experiences for organisations with such impact.
