Student registration for Young ICT Explorers (YICTE) 2022 close in less than a week on 25 July.

YICTE is a national program and encourages primary and secondary students in Australia and New Zealand to use their creativity and interest in the world around them to solve real-world problems or showcase their passions using digital technology.

There are great prizes to be won for both students and teachers.

Projects are judged and verbal and written feedback provided by judges from the ICT industry and academia.

We are looking for young technologists and entrepreneurs from year 3 - 12 across Australia and New Zealand to develop, (and then present their ideas to a panel of expert judges from the digital industry and academia), a digital technology project which solves a real-world problem or showcases a passion.

Young ICT Explorers is free for participating students and schools, with approx. $30,000 prizes on offer to students from across Australia and New Zealand who receive placements in each of the following judging regions - NSW, VIC, WA, ACT, SA, TAS, South East QLD, North QLD and NT, and NZ.
We are looking for teachers and students in all areas of Australia and New Zealand including regional and remote areas to participate.

The QLD State Pearcey Entrepreneur Award recognise an individual who ha@s made an outstanding contribution to the Australian information, communication and digital technology sector in their state.

It is awarded to someone who has demonstrated innovative and pioneering achievement and contribution in their chosen industry. The recipient will be drawn from contributors across all aspects of the Digital Transformation sector including (but not limited to) computing science, the Internet, communications, social media and networking, interactive media, games and the like.

The key criteria are that the individual has taken a risk, made a difference and is an inspiration.

The individual should be one who will act as a role model for others to acknowledge and, hopefully, emulate.
