Here are a few weather-related considerations to keep in mind as you prepare for your big day:
OUTDOOR VENUE: Always have a backup indoor plan if the weather is too hot, windy, or wet. There’s only so much our floral setups can withstand. Be sure to discuss alternative options with your venue. ☔🌞
RAIN: Light drizzle can be a hidden gem—it keeps the flowers hydrated and looking stunning for photos, thanks to the soft, diffused light. However, a heavy downpour means it may be time for Plan B. 🌧️
WIND: Strong gusts can shift flower placements and even break stems. We come prepared with weights and pins to secure all floral items. 🌬️
HEAT: Prolonged sun exposure can be tough on flowers and guests alike. For sun-exposed ceremonies, think about providing outdoor umbrellas. Your flowers and your guests will appreciate the shade! Fans and sun parasols can also add a lovely touch. 🪭

I also celebrate a significant milestone in my business. Last year, I made a commitment to go completely floral foam-free, which is a single-use plastic. I’m proud to say that I achieved it! I’ve been exploring various techniques, some easier than others, but I’m proud of the positive change I’m making for our planet.
