Mushroom & Taleggio Lasagna - our latest Seasonal Pasta, available only through Winter. A warming, comforting and satisfying lasagna. Flavoured with the meatiness and depth of mushrooms, and the strength and slight saltiness of Taleggio.

Authentically made with hand-made pasta that has great texture and a little bite, a smooth and creamy béchamel sauce, and & then topped with beautifully browning Mozarella and aged Grana Padano

800g Serves 2-3 Vegetarian

A really good, authentic lasagna is a very hard thing to find. It took us ages to come up with one this good. All made by our Italian chef - including the pasta, which is made by hand every day.

Our new Italian Chicken Cacciatora - a traditional hearty, rustic stew; made with chicken and vegetables simmered in a tomato sauce with wine

400g Serves 1-2
Gluten-Free 48.3 g protein

Made by our Italian dish this really packs a punch of flavour. Chicken is simmered till oh-so-tender and falling apart in a tomato and white wine sauce with mushrooms and olives. Parsley is added, and also a little pinch of chilli pepper, just enough to give a background warmth.

This is such a versatile dish. It can be served as a generous portion for one, along with a slice/chunk of your favourite bread. Or it can be used as a dinner for two by serving with your choice of pasta, rice, a baked potato, or any other of your preferred vegetables (as shown in the photos on our website)

Our Mashed Potato. Our chefs go to extremes to make truly authentic mash - just like you’d make it at home

While most kitchens use reconstituted potato, potato flakes, instant potato mix, etc, our chefs use real, whole potatoes - which they roast in the oven. They then scrape the cooked potato out, run it through a mouli to make sure it’s extra smooth, and then add cream, butter, salt & pepper. That’s it.

It may sound simple, but in terms of kitchen production it’s extremely hands-on and time-consuming, and therefore expensive. (How much quicker and easier is it to simply add water to an instant mix?)

The difference is certainly in the taste (rich and buttery, and very potatoey – just like a backed/jacket potato that you’ve added a k**b of butter to.) But it also makes a big difference to the texture, and the colour – rich and golden, (instead of that ghostly white).

And then there’s the question of health. Guess which is better for you? The mash containing only natural ingredients? Or, the mash that contains food-like substances and lots of numbers? Here’s the comparison

Our Ingredients:
Potato, cream, unsalted butter, salt, pepper

An example of ingredients found in processed, manufactured meals:
Potatoes (84%) (contains sulphites), whey powder (from milk), vegetable oil, salt, colour (turmeric), emulsifier (471), stabiliser (450), flavour, antioxidant (304).

It's very difficult to replace hands-on cooking and real ingredients with mass production and manufacturing - and the proof really is in the eating.

Our Dinner’s Ready Vegetable Tagine with Couscous.
Dairy-free, Vegetarian. Spice level - mild.
Serving Size: 350g single serve for 1

Tagines originate from the North African-Mediterranean countries - and are perhaps most well-known as Moroccan. Tagines (called after the conical dishes they are cooked in) are slow-cooked stews, typically made with sliced meat, poultry or fish together with vegetables or fruit.

This version uses vegetables and chickpeas, together with apricots, dates, preserved lemons, black olives, and spices: coriander, cumin paprika, ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. The spices give tremendous depth of flavour, with a background warmth (without being "spicy")

The couscous is also given extra flavour by being cooked in vegetable stock, with carrot and parsley.
