There for brocks farewell lap ! caught up with Bernie Stack from Gawler racing the Porsche , and Chris Western doing the Rush Promotion at the offroad track at the back , What a weekend !

We - meaning Admin and not KB - did a quick trip to Sydney early this year and decided to take a day to head to what is left of Oran Park.

I think most people in Motor racing in Australia see the demise of Oran Park as a sad day for Motor Sport - and I cant disagree with that in terms of the loss of a great track.

The memories will however always survive and the place will live on as we all share experiences and times we have spent there.

This photo for us at Big Rev Kev does however give us a bit of pride that Bartlett street does fall smack bang in the middle of the old track!!

There are some wonderful names in this photo/image - great memories of past champions and for many people that they revered or looked up to.

While there is a lot of anger towards the demise of Oran Park, maybe we should take some time to reflect on what the place meant to us and praise the people that kept it alive for so long against the spread of suburbia and the developers dollars.
