As the guests were arriving I overheard someone say that the photographer had cancelled last minute. So, as I carry a half decent camera, I jumped in and took a few snaps while the light was good. What a fun event to be a part off!
Such a privilege to be invited to capture people's special events!

Was a bit of a challenge sketching in the dark while the guests had their dinner by candle light.
But here's how I add details and colour to a piece in my studio, using the handful of photos I took, and just the memories of who I met during the party!
Very happy with this piece, definitely a favourite of mine so far.

Its been a challenge trying to show these things on social media, because they really are too big and too detailed to appreciate through a phone sized screen. They really are best seen on the walls of people homes.

Now, I would say come over and see the full 500mm x 2000m print that I had made for my house... Except it was downstairs last weekend when the floods came.. now its gone to the tip with our Christmas tree and most of our laundry cupboards...
