The Flourish Family Fun Day is back again. Boreham Park will be transformed into a hub of activity as Flourish Family Fun Day returns on 27 June.
A popular event on the community calendar, this year’s theme will be ‘Aussie Animals’ with activities such as rides, face painting, arts and crafts and even a petting zoo.
Flourish Family Fun Day also includes the Welcome Baby Celebration where Bundaberg Regional Council acknowledges the region’s newest community members.

The VMR Bundaberg Family Fishing Classic is back on the 28th, 29th, & 30th June.
Marine Rescue Bundaberg is a volunteer organisation, committed to saving lives at sea. We rely on fund-raising, membership and donations to keep our vessels safe and operational and our active members trained. The Family Fishing Classic is a massive fund-raising event organised and run by volunteers run over three big days and you do not have to catch a fish to be in the draw to win any of three major prize draws. This event is held in Bundaberg at Burnett Heads on the Burnett River and surrounds.
Buying tickets in the Family Fishing Classic entitles you to enter the competition and you are also entered in the draw for all the Great Lucky Draw Prizes.

The first whales of the season have been spotted, so Lady Musgrave Experience is offering the very first Whale Search Expedition on Sunday, June 16 from 9:00am - 2:00pm.
Bundaberg Whale Watching are excited to announce the first whales have been sighted off the South Eastern Coastline with the whales expected to be in Bundaberg shortly. What better way to welcome them to our region than a traditional owners smoking ceremony and a exploration journey before the official whale season kicks off in July! With the official opening of the whale watching season being July 7th 2024 we want to welcome these early whales into the region with a whale seeking exploration along the Humpback Highway off the Bundaberg Coastline. Whilst this journey does not form part of the official whale watching season we hope to find some of these early pods in a fun family friendly day on the water filled with facts about our migrating Humpback Whales.

Garden Grooves is an event that offers entertainment and unity, bringing the community together to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation.
In a tapestry of pink and black Garden Grooves will sweep through Bundaberg on June 29 from 4 pm until late at HSG At The Gardens.
Spearheaded by Helen Rimmington of Signature Hair and presented in partnership with Heart and Soul Gourmet, Mark Lavender Music, Brave Brothers, United Culture, Axis Global Co Pty Ltd and GetAQueen.com this event promises a night of unity, entertainment, and philanthropy.
Garden Grooves event aims to create a legacy of compassion, unity, and hope as we rally behind the McGrath Foundation, supporting Australians battling breast cancer, regardless of gender.

The Bundaberg Orchid Society is once again holding its annual autumn orchid show at the Bundaberg Civic Centre Bundaberg.
Bundaberg Orchid Society’s Mother’s Day Show will be open Friday 10 and Saturday 11 May – 8 am to 4 pm, Sunday 12 May – 8 am to 12 pm.
Exhibitors work all year, preparing plants for entry into over 40 classes of orchids, with prizes for each class donated by their extremely generous sponsors.
As it is Mother’s Day weekend, a very talented group of flower-arrangers will be making flower posies that are available for purchase at a very modest price, a perfect gift for every Mum.
Specially selected reputable commercial growers will be selling quality plants and supplies, and club-members will have locally grown plants for sale at very reasonable prices.
They will also have experienced growers on hand to advise you how to get the best out of your plants, including growing conditions, watering, feeding and general care.
To make your visit even more enjoyable, Cruz the Bakehouse will be offering morning tea and light lunches. There is a seating area in the Civic Centre, where you can sit and enjoy your refreshments.

Celebrate the Year of the Dragon at the 2024 Lunar New Year, free at the Botanic Gardens!
This free, family-friendly event will have you up on your feet with traditional dancers, demonstrations, workshops and more!
The event will also see the return of the delegation from the Bundaberg Region’s Sister City Nanning for the first time since 2019. Where a group of 18 students will be proudly showcasing their talents at the event through song and dance performances for the community to enjoy.
