Started in 2015, the festival is a celebration of the talents of non-male artists and gender diversity as a whole. The 2015 festival was a 2-day event in Sydney, and the 2016 festivals will be two one day events in Melbourne and Sydney. Sad Grrrls Club Records is a DIY record label putting out music from a variety of artists across the country. The label's first release was a live compilation to raise funds for The Butterfly Foundation, and is available from sadgrrrlsclub.bandcamp.com
