Such a fun celebration of the Wedding Industry at 2024 Conference yesterday afternoon.

Showered with champagne and canapés, mingling with like-minded industry suppliers and hanging out with the joyful , we were informed, educated and inspired.

Of course at break time Gaynor and I ran to the to have some fun photos, captured by .weddings.

Thanks Easy Weddings, and for having us!

Can you tell this is my happy face?

I’m in the zone, bringing my absolute best to your ceremony with a smile in my voice.

It’s all in the delivery, I’m not a race caller, it’s not about just getting it over with so you can celebrate (but don’t get me wrong, celebrate you will!), it’s carefully crafted with emphasis and heart, capturing your guests attention and even having them involved.

I love those nervous feelings before the bride walks down the aisle, I love the feeling of the words being delivered with care, inflection and meaning, and I love that euphoric feeling as my couple raise their hands in celebration when I announce them as married and they venture off to their loved ones.

To you they may only be words, but to me, they’re living and breathing, spoken to capture, engage and celebrate, and projected as a compliment to my couple, not a performance in a show.

The limelight is about you, my couple, and I give it my all to truly make you sparkle for your big day.
And I’m loving every minute of it.

11.04.2024 - Simone & Adrian
Fergusson Winery, Yarra Glen

These two cuties met as lifeguards at the fitness centre they both worked at. They became fast friends, then besties, running partners, and eventually the first person they turned to.

From their love of running kilometres to walking down the aisle, their story is fuelled by sweat and smiles.

Congratulations A&S! May your journey ahead be as beautiful as your special day! And I’ll look out for you both on my runs!

Meadowbank Estate, Broadmeadows

Michelle and Anthony planned their beautiful wedding in just 6 weeks! It was a spectacular affair, filled with love and celebration.

An absolutely beautiful couple, who explained to me they were indecisive on most things in life, but when it comes to each other, their hearts have never been more sure.

Congratulations M&A, a joy to see you tie the knot amongst your beautiful family and friends, the best decision ever.

The Sandbar, Middle Park

Johnny’s moment to propose was a coordinated dinner at The Lobster Cave where he had the staff hand Juliette a fake menu with the words ‘Will you marry me’ printed in it.

They certainly found their perfect catch in each other’s hearts, forever intertwined in a love as deep as their love for all things seafood.

Married at the gorgeous Sandbar in Middle park, my second time at this venue for March and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

Congratulations J&J, I had so much fun getting to know you both and celebrate your marriage!

My 100th wedding ceremony!! Yay!

I’m absolutely thrilled that I got to present and celebrate Mara and Lewy’s gorgeous ceremony, their wedding was a long time coming, and i’d over heard their guests say that they couldn’t believe it was happening and they were so excited to be there. So when the ceremony started, I could feel the energy lift with love, tears and lots of laughter and excitement!

They’ve grown together as friends, to lovers, proud and loving parents, to now the firmest of foundations as husband and wife.

I adored getting to know them, revealed in their shared stories and love for one another and delighted they indulged in my cheesy celebrant-high post photo marking a proud milestone in my celebrant career.

Congratulations M&L, being able to marry a couple as wonderful as you are, fills my heart with immense joy and gratitude. ❤️ Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness x

23.03.2024 - Elise and Daniel
Barunah Plains Homestead

It all started with a meet-cute finger swipe while Elise was recovering from surgery. She was captivated by Daniel’s profile, and he was equally taken by Elise.

Dan, ever the gentleman, arrived at Elise’s house to collect her for their first date, where he also met with her dad, who welcomed him in and offered him a beer. Daniel accepted and it made Elise’s heart swell with admiration.

That first date just the beginning of a beautiful love story.

A gorgeous wedding at Barunah Plains, my first at this destination location, impressed by its beauty and absolutely thrilled to have married Elise and Dan.

Congratulations E&D, love loved getting to know you both and shared your journey to marriage.

Russo Estate, Diggers Rest

Tash made a New Year’s resolution that she would delete all her dating apps, resigned to the fact they weren’t working for her. Then she met Jack and they hit it off.

Tash deleted her apps, and so did Jack. Two kids later, happily married ❤️

They held their legal ceremony in private with their close family in the morning of their special day and surprised their guests later in the evening with a fabulous non-legal celebratory ceremony.

Congratulations N&J, it was an honour marrying you both. Wishing you all the very best. ❤️

Elise and Connor met one merry night at a friends birthday party, Connor immediately was drawn to Elise, but it took him three attempts to ask her out on a date before she said yes! They now await the arrival of their baby boy and celebrated with family and friends long into the night.

Congratulations E&C! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and joy!

Marnong Estate, Mickleham

I loved hearing that Annelies would always be prepared for that engagement ring by having her nails done whenever they went away.

They’d travelled to Apollo Bay, touring the Apostles, when Annelies snapchattrd a friend a picture of Brandon with his hands in his pocket, jokingly asking if there may be a ring there … well, there was!

Lucky she had her nails done!

Congratulations A&B, I absolutely adored marrying you both, it was such an incredibly special and intimate ceremony, it was an honour ❤️

The Sandbar, Middle Park

Friendships were forged on those train journeys home between Mentone and Aspendale, none more true than for Jo and Jake.

High school sweethearts married at the stunning Sandbar in Middle Park, having grown up in beach suburbs, they resonated to the water to celebrate their nuptials and it was simply stunning!

Congratulations Jo and Jake, such sweethearts! Thank you for my sweet treats! The sugar highs contributed wonderfully to my writing of many upcoming ceremonies!

One of my favourite premonition stories! Paul lightheartedly introduced Grace to a work colleague as his future wife. They hadn’t even share a first date, but he put it into the universe, and 8 years later, they are married!

Fitzroy Gardens, East Melbourne

Lego enthusiast Matt created a unique square Lego ring to present to Karlie on the last day of their mandatory home quarantine period during Covid lockdowns (remember those!), it was a playful symbol of their commitment and a promise to continue to build their love story, piece by colourful piece ♥️💙

Married under the gorgeous oak tree next to the dolphin fountain at Fitzroy Gardens, from ‘paws’ to ‘I do’, they celebrated their special day with love, laughter and their gorgeous furry friends!

Congratulations K & M - absolute sweethearts and I loved having the honour of marrying you both! ❤️

Vines of the Yarra Valley, Coldstream

When Tash started hearing about Lewis from his sister (aka. Cupid) during her university days, she became curious as to what he would be like.
Lewis’ sister had an inkling that if she could get them together they’d knit it off and how right she was!
Such a sweet story, where Tash married her best friend’s brother ❤️

Club Mandalay, Beveridge

Swipe right success story!
Lauren was Tinder shopping when she paused at Shane’s profile and spotted her olive tree in the background, she exclaimed ‘I think that’s my backyard’ and sure enough, Shane was her next door neighbour!

An intimate and light hearted ceremony, where halfway through Lauren had forgotten to pack their wedding rings! At least 4 people jumped from their seats to offer their own rings, and Lauren and Shane exchanged rings gifted from their family and friends.

Congratulations L&S! I absolutely adored getting to know you both and shared so many laughs with you both!

Manor on High, Epping

These two cuties first crossed paths at a music festival, but not in the way you’d think. Adam’s mate randomly stopped Natalie and asked her to take a photo of their group. Well Natalie and Adam’s eyes locked and they became inseparable.

Destiny wove their paths together, guiding two hearts to finding each other.

Congratulations N&A! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness! ❤️

07.01.2024 - Jemma and Nick
Ballara Reception, Eltham

Our story begins today with our prince charming, we’ll call him, Nick. Who lived and worked in the magical bustling city called Melbourne. Once upon a sunlit afternoon, he and his friend went for a walk to the local enchanted coffee shop, when suddenly, amidst the swirling melody of animated birds and brewing magic beans, he glimpsed a girl, whose presence felt like the missing piece to his happily ever after.

The girl, we’ll call Jemma, is a spirited and optimistic young girl, with a heart full of dreams, a strong sense of determination and on her way to a waiting ticket to see the band, Bliss and Esso.

As Nick approached Jemma, captivated by her beauty, and with a genuine smile, he struck up a conversation. Jemma attempted to search her brain for who Nick may be, drawing an empty conclusion. Empowered by the magic of the moment, Nick, in a spontaneous move asked for Jemma’s number and to his delight, she graciously shared it. Little did they know that this simple exchange would set the stage for a beautiful and enchanting journey, almost as if it was like Cinderella’s glass slipper finding its rightful place.

I had an absolute ball writing for Jemma and Nick’s ceremony, with Jemma being passionately in love with Disney fairytales (Cinderella being her favourite), I couldn’t resist crafting their first meeting as a Disney story.

Immerse, Yarra Valley

My first wedding for 2024 and what a start! This ceremony had it all! Warm weather, nervous moments, gorgeous live singing, tears and laughter!

A love story waiting to happen, hidden in plain sight. With Visal being good mates with Anais’ brother, they knew of each other but it took a chance encounter for their spark to ignite, and the rest, as they say is history.

Congratulations A&V, an absolute joy, honour and delight to have met you both and proudly present your ceremony.

What an amazing 2023!

18 Weddings …
1 Baby Girl

I absolutely love being a marriage celebrant and this year with the birth of my beautiful baby girl, I was pretty selective with available dates in creating a work/life balance, particularly with a newborn.

I’m so excited for what 2024 will bring, a VERY busy first few months of weddings, an exciting but nervous first time leaving the kids for a celebrant conference in Bali with and getting to know all my future couples ensuring them a tailored and unique ceremony with the absolute joy of getting glam’d up for their special day!

I’m taking bookings from April 2024 through to 2025, with key dates filling fast!

A huge shout out of gratitude and love to my hubby, Simon, encouraging me at every opportunity to be the best celebrant I can be, and always wrangling both kids in my absence. ❤️

See ya 2023! Hello 2024!

Manor on High, Epping

Although Carlton Gardens was Caroline and Phil’s original plan for their ceremony, due to Melbourne’s unpredictable weather, it was rescheduled to their reception location of Manor on High.

While it was a misty-filled rainy day, this certainly didn’t damper the gorgeous festivities of their ceremony.

Did you know that rain on your wedding day is believed to be good luck! It symbolises fertility, cleansing, and a resilient marriage that can weather life’s storms.

Congratulations C&P, it was a gorgeous ceremony, absolutely thrilled the last minute planning all went smoothly!

I DO!

Such an exciting moment, I get to see up close the nerves and excitement of the Asking.

I always have a bit of laugh with my couple at this time as I ask them to look at each other and respond … not to me, they’re not marrying me!

Thank you for these wonderful pictures of myself, Warwick and Nel at Witchmount Winery.

Windmill Gardens

Never underestimate the power of a cute pup! For it was Luke’s profile pic with his cute wingwoman pup that drew in Tayla for that first connection.

Married at the fabulous Windmill Gardens chapel, Tayla did a fantastic bouquet toss from the windmill platform, the best bouquet toss I’ve ever seen!

Congratulations T&L, you were both an absolute pleasure to marry!

(Pronounced Mel-born 😜)

23.11.2023
Elizabeth and Edwin
The Langham Hotel, Southbank

Elizabeth and Edwin travelled from the United States just to get married in Melbourne!

It all started 7 years ago when Elizabeth was scheduled to come to Australia on a Working Holiday visa and met Edwin just before her trip.

He ended up coming out to spend time with her in Melbourne and their love blossomed … or more to their word ‘was born!’.

It was a very special, private and intimate ceremony in the terrace room at the Langham.

Absolutely thrilled and honoured to help E&E’s dream come true to be married overlooking Melbourne.

And yes, we had ‘that’ discussion about the correct pronunciation of my beloved city 😝

Amidst the distance, Nel and Warwick bridged hearts by live streaming their wedding overseas to Zimbabwe, uniting two families in the virtual embrace of love.

Congratulations N&W! It was a delight to help you both tie the knot!
