Hello 👋
Felt it was time I reintroduce myself.

I'm Jessica, owner of design by fern.
These are my two munchkins who love helping me out with all things flowers 💐 🌸

We live in Perths Northern Suburbs with our Firefighter Husband/Father 🚒 🔥 We moved over to WA, from Victoria, after travelling around Oz for a bit together and have been here for 11 years... can't beat WA's lifestyle 🌸⛱️🏝️

I have always had a love of flowers, but when I was pregnant with my daughter I decided to study with The Flower Design School and absolutely fell in love with floristry, especially working with Australian native flowers.

I love making wreaths and look at the ones I make as pieces of art 🙏🏻 it's a way I can express myself.

After having a break from design by fern, I started working for Laura at Made To Be Messy, in Heathridge.

I am truly excited to be combing my love of Christmas wreaths with 🫶🏼 this festive season!

Hello from the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria 👋
The children and I flew into Melbourne over two weeks ago and are staying with my family. It's been almost four years since we were last here and Yoshi's first visit 😊 I'm feeling extremely grateful that I was able to finally come back and actually leave WA 😆
We are still hanging out to get over to Tokyo to see my Husbands family, hopefully next year 🤞🤞🤞
This photo 📸 was taken in my Mums backyard, the children are loving working (mainly digging up) her veggie patch 🥕🍄🍋

This gorgeous arrangement of preserved hydrangeas is close to a year old! Its been sat on display at Franky Digital Offices, in Leederville. The colours have definitely faded over time... but personally I feel she's doing alright for almost 12 months on!! 🌸 👏👌👌

Today we had our first Christmas wreath workshop folk & merchant in Doubleview ❤🎄 It was a lovely warm morning in the courtyard, we enjoyed delicious baked treats & coffee then created gorgeous coastal inspired wreaths.

Easter Bonnet inspired creative shoot

I am so excited to share this with you all. The other night I worked with the lovely Laura, from Lucie June to create a beautiful head piece, to adorn one of Laura's hats.
