Aussie Twilight Races - 24th January 2025

Don’t forget, tomorrow is our Aussie Twilight races meeting, and we must say it’s the pick of the weather for the weekend! Racing kicks off at 2:05 pm, with the last race wrapping up at 6:53 pm. If you’ve finished work head into Bridges Event Centre. We are open for dinner accompanied by a live band and a few races and some ice cold drinks The menu will feature all our pub classics throughout the day, so there’s something for everyone. In the afternoon and well into the night, enjoy live music on the terrace by Joe Blake and The Snakes.

For your convenience, a local bus service will be available with pickups from:

Murray Bridge Hotel – 12:55 pm
Bridgeport Hotel – 1:05 pm
Swanport Hotel – 1:15 pm

Important Update for Tomorrow’s Races

With the high-temperature forecast, we’ll be starting the races earlier to ensure everyone stays comfortable. For our patrons’ comfort, please make use of the indoor facilities at the Bridges Event Centre, where air conditioning will be running throughout the day. The kitchen will offer a limited breakfast menu, along with some of our popular lunch favourites, to keep you refreshed and satisfied.

Due to the early start and forecasted outdoor temperatures, we will be running with some of our outdoor public facilities not in operation. Gates open at 8:00 am, and the first race kicks off at 8:58 am.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you for an exciting day of racing. Stay cool and enjoy the action!

It’s a quick turnaround and we are happy to provide a favourable option for racing this Saturday.

🚨 Change of Venue Saturday 4/1/25 🚨
Due to complications with the irrigation system over the Xmas period that has impacted the condition of the racing surface, a decision has been made to transfer the Gawler meeting this Saturday to Murray Bridge.

Acceptance time has now been extended until 10am. 2100m races will now be 2000m, 1700m now 1600m and 1500m now 1400m.

We will continue to monitor the weather in regard to the current heat forecast.
