Can you believe it? 19 years today! We’ve been around for a while, which has brought many opportunities to grow and reinvention.
Flashback to 2004, Leisl and her late Mum named Encore Studio. Back then registering a business name meant heading into the city and waiting a minimum of 1 hour for your turn to see if your business name was available. At the time, I was all about graphic art and design from startups through to national and global brands.
Fast forward to 2016, I began a full-time job in Graphics, and Corey, took the reins to expand our videography and photography business, Encore Studio’s grand transformation. We set our sights on capturing the magic of weddings, offering a personal photo and video services.
March 2022, graphics took a back seat as my real passion, photography, became my primary focus.
Now, people ask about our craft, I simply say, “We capture people.” From heartwarming weddings, to momentous school and dance performances, treasured family portraits and events and helping other businesses grow. We’re right there, every step of the way, journeying with our incredible clients.

Gretchen loves waterfalls, and Alex is a history buff. Their ceremony at the Grotto in Kings Domain, followed by a reception at Werribee Mansion, made sense.
A stretched Ferrari taking Alex and his groomsmen to the falls, was the perfect surprise from his bride!
The Falls was a magical scene with Ally Rendall singing as Gretchen walked down the aisle with her father. Married on the top of the falls to the gentle sound of flowing water. And returning to their guest for the signing, the lighting of unity candles and a dove release.
The Ferrari then whisked the bridal party to the Mansion. When the guests finished their refreshments, they boarded the coach to make their way to the festivities.
Werribee Mansion is a photographer’s dream. So many of my favourites could not fit in this slideshow. After Corey and I spent some time inside the mansion with the Bride and Groom, we met up with the rest of the bridal party for some lawn photos.
Gretchen and Alex knew how to make an entrance, topping up their table guests' drinks as they made their way across the floor.
It was entertainment+ for the rest of the night with David drawing caricatures, @DJ Mason MCing and keeping the party moving, the unique 360 Social Exposure Photo Booth and Fire Lily’s shining perfomance.
A huge shout out to all the amazing staff at Werribee Mansion who helped make the night so enjoyable.
Gretchen and Alex, we wish you a lifetime filled with joy, waterfalls, and spectacular moments. It was our honour to document this historic moment in your lives. Congratulations!
