🌿 Stillness in the Light | A Personal Project with Kaitlyn 🌿

A little while ago, after mentoring with the incredible , I felt inspired to step into something deeply personal and meaningful—a project that wasn’t just about creating beautiful images but about exploring emotion, vulnerability, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

Kaitlyn, a dear friend of mine, became the heart of this project. Together, we created something that resonated with the concept of solar silence—a space where light and shadow meet, where vulnerability feels safe, and where quiet introspection takes over.

This project reminded me why I love what I do—not just for the memories captured, but for the stories told through light, shadow, and connection.

When I started Feather & Finch, I never imagined the impact this job would have on me—not just as a photographer, but as a person. You’ve allowed me to grow, to connect, and to see the world through your eyes, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

Sometimes the universe has its own plans...

Jessie & Andre’s wedding day at Miginbil Hill was one for the books—filled with love, laughter, and yes, torrential rain and flooding. 🌧️ While the storm may have soaked the ground, it couldn’t dampen the joy and magic of their day.

But here’s the beautiful part: the rain didn’t win. 🌿☀️

A few weeks later, with the clouds long gone and the sun on our side, we reunited with Jessie & Andre to capture the post-wedding portraits they deserved. Standing together on the rolling hills, hand in hand, it was as if time had paused just for them. These portraits aren’t just images—they’re a celebration of resilience, love, and embracing the unexpected.
