What a day it was yesterday at the Canberra Wedding Expo 😱 It turns out that chatting all things wedding fashion for approximately 5 hours is just how I like to spend a Sunday! I chatted to people about non-traditional wedding options; options for those getting married a second time; those wanting options other than a dress, and those who were thinking about using dresses handed down to them. I chatted sustainability, affordability, and all the fab things you can do on a day trip to Wagga as well as a dress fitting with us! Oh, and sleeves, there is always a conversation about sleeves. Anyway, it was all the things that we love to chat about! If you were there, I hope you had an inspirational day 🤎

I am as passionate about sustainable flowers as I am about sustainable fashion, and for those who know me well, know I love a wreath. Any time, any celebration, but of course, always at Christmas!

Making time to create something gorgeous from locally grown blooms - either from my own garden or from those amazing local flower farmers - is not only a tradition for me, it's a bit of a priority. The Karen Willis Holmes Carrie gown is probably the most intricate in our collection.The work that has gone into this gown is hard to comprehend. It is truly incredible. However, this fully embellished gown is far from fussy or overdone. Channelling Solange vibes today and thinking about saying *no* to the dress in the most stylish way possible.

Not only for making your own stylish mark on your wedding day, but they have got to be one of the best options if you want to wear your investment again. They offer flexibility and creativity for your wedding day; giving you greater opportunity to create a genuinely individual look that is true to you and also making it easier to find a silhouette that flatters your figure. Plus, there is much more scope to rewear your outfit after your day is over. Yes, please & thank you!

Did you hear? Apparently, the Royals have been visiting. I have to admit that I've missed most of the fuss, but it's only been 48 hours. Surely the shortest 'tour' in history?!

I'm not much of a Royal watcher ordinarily, but the fashion stakes are seriously high. When it comes to a royal wedding or formal event, the fashion choices not only set global trends for years to come, but they also weave together powerful narratives about tradition, culture, and identity. High profile designers at the pinnacle of their careers are chosen to underpin the symbolism and the carefully crafted messages each bride wishes to convey. So much pressure!

So with all this in mind, I have been thinking about my favourite of the royal wedding gowns, and there is simply no contest here. The gown Princess Beatrice wore when she married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020 is hands down my favourite of the high-profile wedding gowns we have seen so far. And I promise you that it's simply because of aesthetics 🤔 I absolutely adored the gorgeously sentimental vintage gown in all its taffeta encrusted with diamante glory; it's square neckline; it's fashion forward puff sleeve; and the fact there was no train(and only her shoes) in sight!

Yes, OK, there are other reasons to love her outfit;
👗 Her gown and tiara were borrowed from her grandmother, the Queen;
👠 She wore shoes she already owned and had worn to someone else's wedding;
👄 She did her own hair and makeup; and
🎊 Due to Covid restrictions at the time, they were content with an incredibly low-key wedding with only 20 guests.

So yes, it's probably the most on-brand royal wedding dress I could find, but I'm sticking to my story that it's my most favourite simply because it's gorgeous 😍
