Great night tonight with a fantastic barefoot bowls competition and Christmas party for Wangi Hotel.

Well after much anxiety about the weather this last week all turned out well today with a great day had by all 28 teams.
Congratulations not only all the winners but all the teams for showing up when the weather was forecast to be terrible.

DAVID LLOYD FUNERALS TOURNAMENT TOMORROW SATURDAY
WANGI BOWLING SPORT AND RECREATION CLUB
All teams please be at the club no later than 8:30 Am to sign on.
This gives me a window of opportunity if I need to tweak the COP for the day should the need arise noting the weather forcast for showers mainly in the afternoon.

Good Morning
The temperature is forcast to hit 34 for this afternoons gala.
Whilst not quite reaching the call off threshold of 35 degrees, I still have a duty to ensure the health and safety of our players.
I will therefore be reducing this afternoon’s game to either 12 or 14 ends depending on the conditions at 1Pm.

Just had a team pull out of the David Lloyd Funerals Tournament this Saturday I could really use 3 guys/ girls to step up and help me out.
I know the weather forcast isn’t great but I would be very appreciative if I could get a team to make the numbers back up to 14 rinks.

Yesterday Wangi had 2 teams competing in the Valentine super 12s tournament with great results with both teams making the six team sudden death playoffs in the afternoon.
Unfortunately our 2 Wangi teams faced each other in the semi finals with Noel Terry and Luke d Brae Nick and myself in a 3 end shootout.
Terry Noel and Luke then went on to win the day and take out the top prize in another 3 end shootout against a Charlestown team.
Brae Nick and myself took out 3rd prize.
Was a really good day albeit a hot one many thanks to Valentine hosting a great event with a delicious bbq lunch.

5pm sponsor raffle Bar open from 3pm feel free to come down for a social roll up and a cold drink prior to the raffle.
SUNDAY 1Pm Triples Semi Finals 2 great games will be played on number 1 green so be great to see a good turnout of supporters for the afternoon.
