Yesterday, the wet weather plan for Bria and Ben seemed to be a certainty. It rained all day and into the night, delaying the rehearsal and disrupting all of the well laid plans and preparation for the couple’s big day. When I spoke to Bria last night though, it was clear that a bit of rain wasn’t going to dampen her or Ben’s excitement for the fun filled day ahead.
Today, it was overcast and the forecast wasn’t looking the best. On my drive to Hodgson Vale, I was watching the ominous clouds get closer and closer.
When I pulled up to the ceremony site to unload my speaker, I was pleasantly surprised at how dry the ground was. The morning sun had dried the previous day’s downpour.
The rain held off, and an overcast sky meant the bridal party weren’t squinting through the ceremony.
In a serendipitous gesture from Bria’s dearly departed Nan, the sun broke through the clouds and shone on the newly married couple as they shared their first kiss.
Love always finds a way to weather any storm. Despite the ominous clouds, Bria and Ben’s wedding day was filled with warmth, joy, and laughter.
Here’s to a lifetime of sunny days and endless love. 💕 ☀️
