Hi to All,
I do hope the storm that came through hasn’t affected you, and you have all had a brilliant weekend. Sad to hear that the 50+ Leisure Centre at Gosford has had some damage. Hopefully, it won’t take too long for them to be up and running again.
It was certainly wild weather. Looking from my back door the trees in the distance totally vanished from sight as the storm passed over. The wind, and the lightening so intense I thought it best to turn off the TV so couldn’t watch the tennis! Fortunately, only the covers on the furniture were blown to the ground and I wasn’t going out to pick them up in a hurry.
What a difference a day makes. It was such a hot day at Wyee last Wednesday and I think most of us were in a go-slow mode but thank God for the air-conditioning, we made it through the day. Then it was off to enjoy the coolness of the club for an extra chat while enjoying our dinner. What a great social group we have.
It has been too hot to do any gardening and now it is too wet. Although it is good to see the rain filling up my water tanks, means I can keep watering my veg and my favourite plants of which there are many.
This one is new to the garden and is in flower for the first time.
The black leaves and the red flowers of this Crepe Myrtle are stunning. Lucky, I took a picture as the storm has destroyed them.
I did manage to do a little gardening one day last week for about ½ hour and while moving a pot plant I found this little creature hiding near the fishpond.
So cute!

Everyone gets into the theme of things on every dress up day, as we saw on Beth and Steve’s Saturday night, what a wonderful group photo it made.
But if we have 6 prizes you find there are 10 people or more you could give it to, it is so hard to choose, so to avoid disappointments there will be no best dressed prizes.
Some people go to great lengths, and we really do appreciate your enthusiasm, it creates a wonderful atmosphere at the dance for us all, and we so look forward to seeing your creations. Thank you.

Hi to All,
Another great Saturday night of dancing thanks to Beth and Steve.
The theme was Australiana and Steve went to a great deal of trouble to source and play music composed or sung by Australians only. Great Job.
And with Beth feeding us with Lamingtons, Tim Tams and Anzac biscuits for a little more energy, we all had so much fun.
Some wonderful outfits! And these were our best dressed on the night.
Plus, Lorraine added some wings
And didn’t we all look great too.
What an amazing group of happy people to dance the night away with.
And more dancing today at Wallsend with Jeff and Barbara’s afternoon tea dance and with Robyn also at the 50+ Leisure and learning Centre at Gosford.
Wherever you are I am sure you will have a wonderful time. Enjoy!
