I saw one of my favourite girls at cross country yesterday and I wished her happy belated birthday to which she asked how I knew she had a birthday.

I responded that I make a living from knowing other people's business and I added that I knew her from the time she was a snotty nose primary school girl. I asked if she was now 16 to which she stunned me by indicating that she was 18.

She then beckoned me close, leaned over and whispered, "Kenmore, I does still eat my snot."

I opened my eyes with incredulity and remarked, "Don't tell you still engage in that practice and have a boyfriend."

When she admitted that she had a boyfriend, I told her please don't tell me anything more!

I dared to enter the Cougars' lair this evening to watch a netball game while dressed in my Beacons' shirt and Crocs.

This lady quietly suggested that in future when I intend to visit Martindale Road I should dress in my Cougars' shirt and Crocs!

Ironically, the Cougars were playing the Springer Eagles and I have an Eagles' shirt and Crocs!

As an adult I see so many wonderful things on social media that are both attainable and affordable.

Covering the secondary schools' cross country event yesterday underscored the urgent need for me to get a Personal Assistant!

So many children who have just made the transition to secondary school came up to me and continued conversations which apparently we had started while they were still in primary school.

I had no idea who they were or what they were talking about!

I have always considered it to be a facetious statement that if you are going to commit a crime to make it a big crime.

I do not know how much money I will have to pay for my tint which I intend to keep so that malicious people like Laney and Carolyn Corbin cannot peep in my car when I park out to eat some cat but I know that if I drive and talk to my outside woman on my cellphone I can be fined $1000.

However, I am astounded to read on the court pages today that a man was given a six-month sentence for trafficking drugs. The sentence was suspended for 12 months and he was reprimanded and discharged on the counts of possession of the cannabis and intent to supply it.

My astonishment resulted from the man being reprimanded and discharged for using fraudulent licence plates and for not registering the vehicle. For having no driver's licence or insurance coverage for the car, he was fined $500 payable in 12 weeks on each count.

Are we serious about dealing with cars on the road with no registration or insurance and persons driving without insurance????

Weekly I am beseeched by persons suggesting that I write a book on volleyball, a book on my Facebook postings or a book from my photo-journalistic experiences.

I am convinced that there is a greater need for a book entitled "The Art of Successful Cheating".

This member of government in Suriname was questioned by the police and his gun was confiscated after he was filmed shooting seven shots at his phone in public.

The inefficient cheater told the police he was driving to town with his wife next to him when his phone rang. He did not want his wife to discover a woman was calling him and he got out of the car, threw his phone on the ground and shot it up.

Even the dumbest Bajan knows how to carry on an innocent conversation with the outside thing while cuddling with the main squeeze!

Firstly let me make this disclaimer. While attending the Barbados Community College I was the number one junior chess player!

I was channel surfing and I saw a programme where unbelievably there was a sports panel discussing a chess tournament. I could not believe that mass media could be so sports crazy that three persons could be excitedly discussing the plays and analyzing the needed strategies in chess matches similar to what is done for extremely physical sports.

I can only imagine what it would have been like if during my childhood we had sports media to cover our primary school days' paper boat races in the gutters after a downpour of rain!
