I saw one of my favourite girls at cross country yesterday and I wished her happy belated birthday to which she asked how I knew she had a birthday.

I responded that I make a living from knowing other people's business and I added that I knew her from the time she was a snotty nose primary school girl. I asked if she was now 16 to which she stunned me by indicating that she was 18.

She then beckoned me close, leaned over and whispered, "Kenmore, I does still eat my snot."

I opened my eyes with incredulity and remarked, "Don't tell you still engage in that practice and have a boyfriend."

When she admitted that she had a boyfriend, I told her please don't tell me anything more!

My predicament is that there is a certain athlete whom you love and I cannot tell the difference between THEN and NOW!

I dared to enter the Cougars' lair this evening to watch a netball game while dressed in my Beacons' shirt and Crocs.

This lady quietly suggested that in future when I intend to visit Martindale Road I should dress in my Cougars' shirt and Crocs!

Ironically, the Cougars were playing the Springer Eagles and I have an Eagles' shirt and Crocs!

During my childhood I saw so many wonderful things in magazines that were either unattainable, unaffordable or both.

As an adult I see so many wonderful things on social media that are both attainable and affordable.

However, trying to get them may expose me to serious financial dishonesty!
