On June 8 and 9, the castle gates of the Kingdom of Cultures opened once again in the Groeningepark in Kortrijk.

For the third year in a row, we at R&M Events Agency are incredibly proud that the City of Kortrijk and its Department of “Local Social Policy / Integration and Diversity” have once again placed their trust in us to support this wonderful initiative.

The goal? To introduce the people of Kortrijk to the many cultures living in their city. Under the overarching project KortRijk aan Culturen, the City of Kortrijk is committed to promoting integration and connection, and once a year this culminates in a grand, colorful celebration during the Sinksen festivities: the Krac World Market.

As R&M Events Agency, we work shoulder to shoulder with the department and provide our event expertise in areas such as:
* Creative development
* Spatial design
* Coordination from development through to dismantling
* Developing efficient workflows on site (think of the bar tent, kiosks, token exchange stands, etc.)

We build on the solid foundation that the department has established over the past 27 years and, for the past three years, we have been supporting efforts to further strengthen the Krac World Market. When we were first involved in 2023, it was already the 25th edition for the department. We immediately felt the enormous commitment and pride with which they have shaped this project for years.

That is precisely why, as R&M Events Agency, we bring not only our expertise, but above all our hearts: with respect for their work and with the intention of supporting and relieving them, not taking over the project completely. This way, we can continue to raise the bar for the Krac World Market together each year. It is their passion that inspires us to give it our all year after year.

This year, the public could enjoy:
25 food stands representing 19 countries
5 activity stands, representing 5 countries
8 musical performances
5 dance groups
DJs Opo & Tom Curaçao, who have been there since the very beginning, made the square swing

More than 100 volunteers, young and old and from all corners of the world, were ready to make this edition an unforgettable experience.

Some dreams start early. Mine began when I was 11 and wanted to become a DJ. But I quickly realized that my attention wasn’t on the stage, it was on everything happening backstage. Creating atmosphere, shaping an experience, telling a story. That insight led me to study business management with a specialization in event management, and eventually to founding R&M Events Agency.

What defines me is my love for detail, authenticity, creativity, and connection. I don’t believe in organizing events that are just “pretty.” I believe in creating experiences that mean something, that tell a story. Each event is a reflection of identity, a message that comes to life through atmosphere, style and context.

That vision is deeply rooted in my own story. From a young age, I’ve been immersed in Italian culture. My family built a close professional and personal bond with an Italian family, which now feels like ours. What began as a professional relationship grew into a cross-generational friendship and a lifelong love for Italy.

Since the age of four, I have been familiar with the language, cuisine and way of life. At home, we cook Italian food, speak Italian, and regularly watch Italian TV. When I was 17, I went on an exchange to the region of Milan and to this day, I maintain friendships all across Italy, from north to south. These connections also form a valuable network that aligns perfectly with the mission and vision of R&M Events Agency.

I bring that cultural baggage into my work every day. It teaches me how important hospitality is. How to connect people with taste, style and atmosphere. I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen myself, so trust me, no bland or flat dish passes that does not fit the overall experience.

At R&M Events Agency, I don’t work with one-size-fits-all concepts. I create events with a soul. Events that tell stories, stories that move, connect and linger.

Guests enjoyed a tasting of Pellegrino's finest Sicilian wines, alongside pairing boxes featuring handpicked products, carefully matched to enhance each wine’s flavor. Our Date with Wine experience added a touch of mystery, allowing guests to purchase a pre-wrapped surprise wine. To top it all off, a 5-course gourmet dinner was served, with each dish paired perfectly with a Pellegrino wine.
