Terugblik op 15 jaar Go4Cycling 🚴‍♂✨

In 15 jaar Go4Cycling hebben we talloze bijzondere mijlpalen beleefd. Vandaag halen we graag één van die vele momenten terug uit onze geschiedenis: een project dat Go4Cycling destijds echt op de kaart zette.

We keren terug naar 11 maart 2012, toen we op het circuit van Zolder één van onze eerste grote projecten organiseerden: een Start2Bike-rit, in samenwerking met radiozender MNM en wielerlegende Johan Museeuw.

De allereerste rit was een tocht van amper 50 kilometer. Een leuke anekdote: al na twee bochten hadden enkele deelnemers het moeilijk en begonnen ze te twijfelen waar ze aan begonnen waren. Maar ondanks die vroege onzekerheid zette iedereen door — en dat zorgde voor een onvergetelijke groepsdynamiek.

Het traject groeide later dat jaar uit tot een indrukwekkende Alpenuitdaging, met achtereenvolgens de Col du Télégraphe, de Col du Galibier, en als iconische finale de beklimming van Alpe d’Huez.
Elke deelnemer ging de uitdaging aan — en bracht ze ook succesvol tot een einde.

Go4Cycling stond in voor de volledige logistieke organisatie én volledige omkadering van elke Start2Bike-rit. Deze eerste rit op Zolder was dan ook één van de vele mijlpalen die ons hebben gevormd. Daarom brengen we hem vandaag graag opnieuw onder de aandacht als een mooie eerste terugblik tijdens ons 15-jarig bestaan.

Looking Back on 15 Years of Go4Cycling 🚴‍♂✨

Over the past 15 years, Go4Cycling has enjoyed many memorable milestones. Today, we look back at one of those moments — a project that truly put Go4Cycling on the map.

Let’s return to March 11th, 2012, when we organised one of our first major projects at the Zolder race circuit: a Start2Bike ride, created together with radio station MNM and cycling legend Johan Museeuw.

The very first ride covered just 50 kilometres. A fun anecdote: after only two corners, several participants were already struggling and wondering what they had signed up for. But despite those early doubts, everyone kept going — and that determination became the heart of this adventure.

Later that year, the group took on an impressive Alpine challenge, riding over the Col du Télégraphe, the Col du Galibier, and finishing with the legendary climb of Alpe d’Huez.
Every participant embraced the challenge — and completed it successfully.

Go4Cycling handled all logistics and full support throughout the entire Start2Bike project. This first ride in Zolder was one of many milestones, but a meaningful one — and therefore a perfect first look back as we celebrate our 15-year anniversary.

This past weekend, 60 walkers and 60 cyclists from Luminus took on an incredible challenge between La Bresse and Ballon d'Alsace – and what a journey it was! 🚴‍♂️🥾

From start to finish, Go4Cycling ensured every detail was perfectly taken care of:
