Our Story

OORSPRONG

Onze Nordic Tipis zijn geïnspireerd op de Kåta, het traditionele huis van de semi-nomadische Sami-bevolking.

De Sami Kåta is een eenvoudig kegelvormig frame van houten p***n bedekt met dierenhuiden, met bovenaan een opening om rook uit te laten. Al snel hadden de nomadische, rendier-heidense Sami-mensen in Noord-Scandinavië een windbestendig huis dat gemakkelijk warm te houden was.

Tentipi Nordic Tipis zijn gebaseerd op de traditionele ontwerpprincipes van de Sami Kåta, gekoppeld aan een innovatief nieuw ontwerp, de nieuwste materialen en constructietechnieken.
