This time, we’re featuring two amazing producers:
Face A, shining the spotlight on a producer who usually prefers to stay behind the scenes. But guess what? Daïko just dropped an EP that’s packed with talent, featuring amazing guests like Nancy Kadra, Miss Angel, Félé Flingue and Loveni..

And then Face B, a familiar friend from Loop Sessions! USEA was there right at the beginning, and we even had a blast interviewing him during our lockdown sessions. It’s been incredible to see USEA’s journey unfold over the years, and his latest project? It’s full of promise!

At Loop Sessions we love inviting our ambassadors to take part in the evening in one way or another. This time, we’re honored to kick off the night with a set by Soumaya Phéline as a prelude to the Listening session. Vacillating from Bass to Jungle to experimental sounds or another, she intricately weaves narratives through unsettling sounds, treating the CDJ like a musical instrument.

And then, get ready for Chubbz & Trèsbeauparadisfiscal ! What started as a mentor and intern duo has blossomed into a killer collaboration behind the decks. Together, they guarantee an exciting set, exploring the rich landscapes of Bass, UKG, Breaks, along with hints of Shatta, Bouyon, Amapiano, and Afrobeat. So, who says you can’t keep the party going after the listening session? 💥

Some exciting news: Soumaya Phéline will be the ambassador for Loop Sessions Brussels #18 which will takes place at Saintklet on February, 17. Mark your calendars! As selector for the event, she’ll curate three albums, providing the creative spark for the participating producers on the D-day.

Brussels-based DJ, promoter, and a local figure since 2006, Soumaya Phéline is not one to make crowds feel comfortable. Instead, she consistently challenges dancefloor expectations, drawing from various electronic sub-genres. Her sets, laden with bass, breaks, mesmerizing melodies, and rhythmic vocals, distort and disturb in a strangely satisfying way.

For this last stop of our summer editions, we're inviting Sylvia & NMSS this Saturday at Le Tigre BXL !💥

Sylvia’s selection extends from the South US Rap of the 2000s to the Ballroom, the Naija and Amapiano. She has always devoted a cult to female rappers whom she celebrates each year with a serie of mixes entitled ”Bad Girls Club”. Her sets are eclectic and energetic.

Sidney aka sets are filled with raw energy and influences by the beginnings of Electro, UK Bass music or Post Club. Afro-Carribean rhythms blend with cosmic melodies and hostile basslines in either euphoric or dystopic atmosphere. He authorizes himself some off-track moments by picking in the repertoire of Ambient, Electronica, Jungle, Ghetto Tech, Hyperpop or Trap. Let yourself be guided by his robotic groove.

For this second stop of our summer edition, we're inviting two talented selectors : DJ Fatoosan and Kosen Gilles Vanesse, both from Schaerbeek, for a b2b between neighbours! ✨

KOSEN goes through genres, space and time without any clear boundaries, always looking for enlightning inspiration and new musical landscapes.

Influenced by various genres, Fatoosan will take you on a journey that can balance the dark bass of rap, trap, dubstep or future beats with the sunny vibes of 80s hip hop, soulfull house, broken beat or global music.

Our Story

Loop Sessions assembles Beatmakers under one roof for a gathering of music production and networking. Using the equipment of their choice while sampling from the same vinyl, participants have a few hours to put their creation together.

HOW IT WORKS :

1. Sign up on arrival. First come, first served. 2. When your name is called, you have 5 minutes to sample anything from the selected record. 3. You will be given a copy of your samples to transfer onto your equipment. 4. Grab a station and off you go!

First to arrive picks the record from the supplied crate. Once time is up, we fire up the loudspeakers and you get to share your track with your peers. Hosted by Turtle Master & friends for the Brussels edition and inspired by Dr. MaD and Lou Piensa (Loop Pilots), Loop Sessions is inspired by BeatBrasilis, a weekly event which takes place at the Casa Brasilis record & coffee shop in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
