The Committee of Panathlon Clubs of Universities (PCU Committee) is the university platform of Panathlon International, the global leader in sport ethics and IOC recognised since 1982. The PCU Committee organizes and endorses university sport events with the focus on fair play.

🎉 The AP Cup 2024 kicked off with an Opening Ceremony!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to start this 6th edition. Our program featured the presentation of the Photo and Drawing Contests, welcoming words by the official host and the inspiring Oaths of the Players and Referees.

We’re thrilled to welcome 28 delegations from 13 countries to our competition.

Official Statement: Fair Play at the PCU Chess@Home Tournament 2024

At the PCU Chess@Home Blitz Online Tournament, we prioritize fairness and integrity. Unfortunately, the winner has been banned by Lichess for violating their Terms of Service, indicating probable use of external assistance.

Action Taken:

The player is disqualified, as PCU needs to follow the Lichess guidelines and regulations; and consequently, the title will go to the runner-up Vadim Eliseev after a final review.

We thank our players for their vigilance and reporting, which helps us uphold the values of fair competition. Stricter anti-cheating measures will be implemented to ensure integrity in future events.

During the recent Panathlon Vlaanderen evening at the old Abbey in Drongen, the AP | PCU Drawing and Photo Contests added a unique artistic dimension to the event, featuring a keynote speech by Team Belgium CEO Cedric Van Branteghem.

University Sport can make a difference

The mission of the PCU Committee is the achievement of the sporting ideal and the establishment of its cultural and moral values as a means towards the development and advancement of the individual and solidarity between men and people, especially on a university level by uniting all Panathlon Clubs of Universities. To this end, the PCU Committee is entitled by Panathlon International to organize the Panathlon World Interuniversity Club Games and to endorse Student Tournaments in accordance with the aims of Panathlon International.
